One of
Anna Nicole Smith's doctors is losing her medical license -- temporarily -- over her conviction for writing prescriptions for Anna under false names.
According to court documents,
Dr. Khristine Eroshevich and the
The Medical Board of California reached a settlement ... in which the doc admitted to her conviction of a crime in the Anna Nicole case -- and making false statements in a psychiatric report, unrelated to Anna Nicole.
As a result the Board is suspending Eroshevich's medical license for 90 days and putting her on probation for 5 years.
A jury convicted Eroshevich of a felony in October 2010 -- but in 2011 a judge knocked it down to a misdemeanor ... and she was sentenced to one year probation.
As part of her Medical Board discipline, Eroshevich will also have to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and take an ethics course.
In a shocking slap in the face to the L.A. County District Attorney, the judge in the
Howard K. Stern drug conspiracy trial just threw out the jury verdict -- making Stern a free and innocent man.

The jury in the case -- in which prosecutors argued Stern and others conspired to fuel
Anna Nicole Smith's drug habit -- found Stern guilty of 2 counts of conspiracy, but not guilty on 7 other charges.
The judge felt the conviction was baseless and threw it out.
It's also a major repudiation of California
Gov. Jerry Brown who grandstanded and spent millions as Attorney General going after Stern and the other defendants.
The judge also found that psychiatrist Khristine Eroshevich was acting out of concern for Smith -- and sentenced her to no more than one year of probation and a $100 fine for obtaining a Vicodin prescription under a false name.
UPDATE:
District Attorney Steve Cooley says, "We strongly disagree with Judge Robert Perry's ruling today," adding, "[the ruling] diminishes the huge social problem of prescription drug abuse facilitated by irresponsible caretakers and unscrupulous medical professionals."

Cooley says he'll appeal the ruling and hasn't decided whether to retry Stern on the charges on which the jury was hung.
Howard K. Stern just arrived at the downtown L.A. criminal courthouse for his sentencing in the
Anna Nicole Smith drug conspiracy trial.

Stern, and
Khristine Eroshevich -- who accompanied him to court -- were both convicted of conspiring to use a false name for Anna to get prescription drugs.
The prosecution -- surprisingly -- is not asking for jail time. After pursuing the pair with a vengeance, prosecutors are asking for probation and community service.
Howard K. Stern was just found guilty on two counts of conspiracy for obtaining medications for
Anna Nicole Smith in his own name.

Stern was acquitted of seven other charges involving Smith. Stern is free pending an appeal.
Stern placed his face in his hands right before the verdict was read ... but had a stone-faced reaction once he learned his fate.

Stern is due back in court January 6 for sentencing.
After the hearing, Stern said, "Everything related to the
appropriateness of the medication, I was acquitted of."
Dr. Khristine Eroshevich was just found guilty of four criminal counts -- including two counts of conspiracy to funnel prescription drugs to
Anna Nicole Smith.

On her way out of court, Eroshevich told reporters she was

"disappointed" with the way things went down in court.
Anna Nicole Smith's personal physician --
Dr. Sandeep Kapoor -- was just acquitted on charges of illegally funneling prescription meds to the deceased reality star.

Kapoor faced 6 criminal counts -- including a pair of conspiracy charges.

Kapoor breathed a sigh of relief as the verdict was read.
The jurors in the
Anna Nicole Smith drug trial will be drilled about their own prescription drug use ... this according to the judge in the case.

Legally speaking, it's a pretty shocking decision by Judge Robert Perry.
Prospective jurors will have to reveal drug use details in a
questionnaire, but the judge also said their names will not be revealed
to attorneys in the case.
The judge has said he will dismiss any jurors who refuse to cough up their drug histories -- given their relevance to the case.
The defendants --
Dr. Sandeep Kapoor,
Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, and Smith's ex-BF
Howard K. Stern -- have pled not guilty to illegally funneling prescription drugs to the former Playboy model.
Prosecutors in the
Anna Nicole Smith drug conspiracy trial want to exclude evidence we haven't heard before -- that Anna's bodyguard was having an affair in the hotel where the bodyguard's wife found Anna dead in the bed.

According to docs, bodyguard
Maurice Brighthaupt,
aka "Big Moe," was having an extramarital affair with a woman at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino when Anna died. How, you ask, do prosecutors know? Turns out when detectives were checking surveillance and other video evidence, they saw the telltale footage.
Prosecutors say "Big Moe" was familiar with Anna's meds as well as defendants
Howard K. Stern and
Dr. Khristine Eroshevich.
Prosecutors claim, "The affair is not relevant in any way to any of Brighthaupt's observations."
"Big Moe's" wife is the one who called 911.
One of the doctors charged in the
Anna Nicole Smith drug case claims prosecutors have no evidence he conspired to pump Smith full of unwarranted prescriptions -- so he's asking the judge to throw out some of the charges.
Dr. Sandeep Kapoor's lawyer,
Ellyn Garofalo, filed legal papers asking the judge to reject -- once and for all -- the prosecution's claim that Kapoor teamed with
Howard K. Stern and
Dr. Khristine Eroshevich to fuel Anna Nicole with scripts.
In the docs, Kapoor claims he prescribed drugs for Anna before he even met Eroshevich.
Kapoor also claims he actually refused to fill a prescription wish list Eroshevich faxed him.
Kapoor also challenges the allegation he obtained Anna's prescriptions by "fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation," according to the filing.
In the court papers, Kapoor acknowledges filling a prescription for Anna under a pseudonym, but he claims he only did so to protect her privacy -- and not to "divert drugs for illegal sale or use."
Even if the judge grants the motion, Kapoor would still face 4 other counts.
