Kid Rock says he's VERY sorry for lighting up a fat stogie at a non-smoking venue during a Travis Tritt show in Detroit on Friday ... saying he was way too hammered to know better.
Rock was in the audience at the Andiamo Celebrity Showroom in Warren, MI -- when he fired up a cigar about 15 minutes into the show.
It's not only against the law to smoke at bars in MI -- but it REALLY pissed off a 58-year-old asthmatic man who was in the audience. The man says he plans to file a report with the health dept.
Rock says he feels really bad about the situation ... saying, "My most sincere apologies to the patrons I may have offended, and a big
middle finger in advance to all the haters and attorneys who will
somehow try to find an easy paycheck in all this."
Rock says he had been drinking pretty heavily at the time -- and explains, "I doubt I'm the first one to ever make a bad decision while being intoxicated."
And he won't be the last.

For
Kid Rock, partying at
Vanquish in Atlanta the other night was hard work ... so he wore a pair of his finest Carhartt overalls.
Sometimes flippin' the bird and throwing back drinks with your boys can seem like menial labor ... and luckily Kid is dressed for it.
Comedy Central's Roast of
Kid Rock is looking like it will NOT happen as scheduled -- and it's all a matter of location, location, location.

During
an event last week covered by our friends at Punchline Magazine, Kid told reporters that he would only be a part of the event if it went down in his native Detroit.
According to our sources, Comedy Central looked into the possibility of holding the event in Motor City, but the financials didn't work.
We're told there is no way the event will happen on August 14 as was previously announced, but the network is hoping something can be worked out.
Kid Rock can really hit those high notes -- and to prove it, he grabbed the mic at a karaoke session at Café Habana in Malibu last week ... and belted out a badass rendition of AC/DC's "Highway to Hell."

Seriously, check it out.

Kid Rock and his crew suffered serious defeat today in connection with that nasty
Waffle House brawl -- in fact, a Georgia judge just ordered them to cough up $40,000 in damages to the victim.

As we
previously reported, Rock and his boys had been sued by a guy named
Harlen Akins -- who claimed they beat the crap out of him at the delicious breakfast establishment back in 2007 (
security footage below).

According to the judge, Kid is personally responsible for 15% of the total damages -- meaning he owes Akins $6,000.
The rest of Kid's entourage has to come up with the balance ... i.e. $34,000.
That's a whole lot of Waffle House.
Kid Rock just told a Georgia courtroom that minutes before his 2007
Waffle House brawl -- he tried to give his accuser a view of the "moon" ... but he ran into a little problem around Uranus.

Rock told the court that he and
Harlen Akins were exchanging middle fingers during an early morning exchange in October 2007 ... Rock even claims he tried to flip the infamous "double bird."
But according to Rock, Akins took things to another level when he took his pants down ... so Rock tried to counter with a mooning ... but there was a catch.
Rock claims he couldn't unlatch his custom steer head belt buckle ... so he had to settle with a "small moon ... not a full moon."
He added, "I couldn't do what I wanted to do and give him the full moon ... because he was a smart ass."
The two eventually got into a scuffle that was caught on a Waffle House security camera -- and now Akins wants more than $6,000 in damages.

Kid Rock just took the stand in Georgia in connection to his ongoing
Waffle House brawl case ... but ended up having to explain why he got into a fight with rocker
Tommy Lee at the MTV VMAs back in 2007.

Rock told the judge that he and Lee had bad blood over their relationships with Pam Anderson.
Rock claims before the VMAs, they had exchanged some cell phone smack talk -- but somehow ended up next to each other during the VMAs.
Rock told the judge that Lee tried to sit down next to him ... so Rock smacked Lee's hat off and popped him in the face.
However, Rock also claims that Lee called him after the incident to apologize ... and testified the two are now friends.
UPDATE: Check out part of Rock's testimony above -- when he first sat down, he had to acknowledge that he also goes by the names "Devil without a Cause" and "Kid Rock and Roll Jesus."
Kid Rock found time to fire up a big, fat cigar outside a Georgia courtroom today -- where Kid faced off with a man suing him over a crazy brawl at a
Waffle House a few years ago.

Kid is being sued by a dude named
Harlen Akins -- who claims the rock star should fork over more than $6,000 for battering him mercilessly during an early morning rumble back in October 2007.

Rock's attorney claims the singer and his entourage were merely defending themselves -- but today, several witnesses testified that Team Rock pummeled Akins ... and continued to bash him even after he was unable to defend himself.
The incident was caught on tape by Waffle House security cameras -- check it out for yourself.
Legendary loud mouths
Kid Rock and
John McEnroe got their pub crawl on together in London last night.

The night started when McEnroe attended Kid Rock's concert at the O2 Arena in London.
But the real fun didn't begin until after the show, when the two met up for some late night debauchery.
No doubt some party fouls were committed.
