Liev Schreiber to the Rescue!

Liev SchreiberLiev Schreiber rushed to the aid of a fan in the audience during his performance of Arthur Miller's "A View From the Bridge" in New York City last night.

According to a witness, a woman in the audience started screaming for help during the play. When the lights came up, it was revealed that her husband was slumped over in his seat.

That's when, according to the eye witness, "Liev Schreiber sprung to action." He came from behind the set of the stage and ran up to the seats of the man and woman to try and help as much as he could. There was a doctor in the audience (isn't there always?) and they provided medical attention until help arrived.

Paramedics confirmed they were called to the theater and the patient was transported. There was no immediate update on his condition, but we're told the man was conscious and responsive before he left.

Liev Schreiber Chases Down "Scumbag" Photogs

Liev Schreiber went berserk yesterday, when paparazzi got too close for his liking -- and violently shoved one and chased down the rest. Liev me alone!

The frustrated and limping star of the "Scream" flicks went off on a photog after walking up the stairs of Taverna Tony's, where he set down his baby's carrier, turned around and pushed the pap while screaming, "You f**king disgust me, it's a f**king child and I have one f**king foot!" It didn't end there though -- Schreiber then chased the rest of the photogs on scene, screaming at them and making them retreat to their cars.

When Schreiber and baby mama Naomi Watts emerged from the restaurant, they were taunted by paps, with one yelling at the actor, "You better sit down before I knock your ass out!" This time, Liev remained calm and got into the car, but Naomi gave the photog a piece of her mind -- with a finger.

Liev Schreiber Raises Eyebrows

Naomi Watts baby daddy Liev Schreiber has fashion and beauty tips for President Bush? The "Omen" star told Air America host Rachel Maddow he thinks that he could help the president "be cooler. I think he's working the alpha-male thing a little too hard, and I think his eyebrows are getting stuck ... so then, when he wants to switch to a light note, it's kind of hard, because the mouth goes, but the eyebrows don't. You don't trust someone whose eyebrows don't move in unison with their mouth."

Perhaps they should go to the salon together?

Cannes: Big Directors Biggest Losers

A Romanian film called "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days" beat out a bunch of seasoned vets yesterday to win the coveted Palme d'Or award at the Cannes Film Festival. LiLo Lovin' Lil' Brit -- Again!

Lindsay Lohan did a little partying with Britney last night in New York ... well, Lil' Britney, anyway.

TMZ spotted the shrink-wrapped Terra Jole leaving The Box last night in her "Oops" inspired red spandex suit, saying she had a "stupendous" night, just moments before LiLo left the club after a long night in the Apple. Also at the club last night was sextape-a-booty-licious Kim Kardashian, who made a one-day trip to New York.

Lohan hit up the Maxim Hot 100 party earlier in the evening and was spotted dining at La Esquina, where Liev Schrieber and preggers girlfriend Naomi Watts also grabbed some grub.

All this and more in today's mini-me edition of Star Catcher.

NY Starcatcher -- Lennon and Bush Hang Out

Star Catcher NY: Click to watchWe mean Sean Lennon and first daughter Barbara Bush -- and they weren't so much hanging out as coming out of the Calvin Klein event moments apart. Still -- that's one bi-partisan invite list.

Also spotted were Mischa Barton, Liev Schreiber & Naomi Watts and Michelle Trachtenberg, but somehow we can't get over seeing those two famous heirs in the same place.

Which one has the most to live up to? Son of legendary peacenik John Lennon or daughter of pro-military president George W. Bush? Now that "Death of a President" has premiered, do they both have assassination nightmares?

We hope they spent the whole evening brokering a truce between the red and blue states, but we aren't counting on it.

What if Your Kid Were the Anti-Christ?

The wave of horror movie remakes continues next week, when the 1976 classic 'The Omen' gets a makeover. The original film tells the story of Damien Thorn, born on June 6 at 6 a.m., who is switched at birth in Rome with the murdered infant of an American diplomat.

Liev Schreiber steps into the role of Robert Thorn, who doesn't tell his wife (played by Julia Stiles) that their biological baby died after child birth. He lets her believe Damien is their own flesh and blood. Little do they know, their child is actually the anti-Christ, destined to create hell on Earth.

Schreiber believes the remake is certaintly warranted and will still resonate with audiences, saying, "I think this film freaked so many people out in 1976 and I think that it will freak as many people out again in 2006, and that is because I think it does tap into something cultural."

Mia Farrow also stars in the film, taking on the role of Damien's creepy nanny and willing servant, Mrs. Baylock. This marks a vast departure from her role in Roman Polanski's demon-seed flick 'Rosemary's Baby,' where she played the unwitting mother of Satan's spawn.

The film, which premiered Wednesday night in New York, opens June 6 (the sixth day of the sixth month in the sixth year, 666, get it?).
