Martha Stewart (70) and Sigourney Weaver (61) shared a smile while walking the red carpet at a movie premiere in NYC earlier this week.

But the question is...

Martha Stewart needed 9 stitches to close up a bloody gash on her upper lip this week after her dog accidentally headbutted the domestic goddess in the face.


Martha was getting ready to leave her NY home Tuesday when she leaned over to "whisper goodbye" to her dozing french bulldog, Francesca. But Martha says she must have "startled" the dog, because Franny shot upwards and hit Martha in the face ... busting her lip open.

Martha says she "felt a bit of whiplash as blood gushed forth from [her] split lip."

Unable to stop the bleeding herself, Martha first called police to ask for a ride ... before remembering that she had a driver on standby.

Martha eventually made it to the emergency room -- where she was promptly sewn back up.

Martha Stewart is engaging in a smear campaign against Vampire Vineyards to bolster the sales of a Gallo wine label bearing her name ... this according to a new federal lawsuit obtained by TMZ.



According to the suit, Stewart's Gallo wine sales are less than one-half the wine sales of Vampire Vineyards. To catch up, the suit claims Stewart and her company, Omnimedia, are selling counterfeit Vampire Vineyards wine labels "to disparage and tarnish [Vampire's] wine brands by portraying a mock label of Vampire Vineyards affixed to cheap, non-descript wine and spirits products."

The suit, which names Stewart, Omnimedia, Martha Stewart Living and others, wants the judge to put a quick end to what Vampire calls Martha's "malicious" campaign.

Fun fact -- The first sale of Vampire wine was to MCA Records and Alice Cooper with the slogan, "Sip the Blood of the Vine." The back label of the bottle explains that the reason no one hears stories about vampires attacking humans any more is because vampires have been drinking Vampire wine instead.

So how do you explain "True Blood"?

Martha Stewart knows more about fast food than you'd think -- because last night in Las Vegas, the world's greatest homemaker ordered an item off the legendary "secret" menu at a local In-N-Out burger.



We're told Martha ordered up an "Animal Style" combo -- which means the burger patty is cooked and fried with mustard ... then pickles are added, along with grilled onions and extra spread.

The combo also comes with fries and a drink.

Who's hungry?

For the second time this year Martha Stewart is burying one of her beloved animals.

Martha just posted the following message on her Twitter page:

"Mozart the cat just died -- he was nineteen and did indeed have a beautiful life. we just buried him next to pawpaw -- he was a lynx himalayan."

Stewart's dog, Ghengis Kahn, died in a freak explosion at a kennel back in March. Her 13-year-old pooch PawPaw passed away in April of '08.

R.I.P. Mozart.

Nearly two weeks after a freak propane tank explosion killed her beloved Chow puppy, Ghenghis Khan, Martha Stewart told us she still isn't coping with the tragedy.


But if you examine the video extremely closely, you can see a hint of actual emotion in Martha's face.

It's dangerous work being one of Martha Stewart's dogs, because her latest pup just perished in a deadly propane explosion at a Pennsylvania kennel.

Ghenghis Kahn -- the second of Martha's dogs to die in the last year -- was one of 17 dogs killed in a tragic propane explosion at a Carbon County kennel on Friday.

The blast occurred during a propane delivery to the kennel. The delivery man -- who remains in the hospital with severe burns -- is being called a hero because he was able to throw a few dogs to safety before he was injured.

Martha has put up a memorial to her dearly deceased on her blog.

Weak stomachs beware -- we just conjured up a photo of the mangled magician's finger that was allegedly lopped off by a malfunctioning Martha Stewart lounge chair ... and it's AWESOME!

Patrick Albanese is now suing Martha over his circumcised digit -- claiming he can't perform magic, play the banjo (part of his act) or be a hand model anymore. Patrick is also suing for the mental pain and suffering, and after seeing the picture, the dude has a point -- even though he can't.

There's a new pup making a splash on bathroom blogs around the world.

Martha Stewart's French Bulldog, Sharkey, made water on the carpet recently. But there's a good thing to be found in every bad one. In Martha's world, a urine stain becomes a carpet cleaner marketing opportunity.

Look at those eyes -- Martha may not have him house broken, but she has broken his spirit.

The Red Coats want nothing to do with Martha Stewart!

The domestic goddess has been turned down for a visa to enter Britain because of her rap sheet. She was reportedly set to tour several areas of the country, as well as tour the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

Stewart spent five months in a federal prison in 2004 after she was convicted of conspiracy and lying to the Feds.

Charles Koppelman, the Chairman of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia told TMZ "Martha loves England; the country and English culture are near and dear to her heart. She has engagements with English companies and business leaders and hopes this can be resolved so that she will be able to visit soon."

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen may know what do to in front of the camera, but off camera, not so much.

This past week, the Brazilian bombshell's boyfriend, Tom Brady, allegedly phoned Petit Tresor, an upscale children's boutique in L.A., and had them ship several gifts to his estranged ex/baby mama Bridget Moynahan. Brady ditched a pregnant Moynahan to date Bundchen.

Bundchen also called in an order for Moynahan, reports Gatecrasher. The luxe $1,000 gift basket included a teeny tiny onesie with the word "supermodel' written across it -- a small, tacky reminder of her ex's current flame.

Katie Joel: A Whiter Shade of Pale

Bad Boy hip hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs moved his annual White Party from swank St. Tropez to "just eh" East Hampton, N.Y., but that didn't mean he was relaxing the rules -- wear all white or you'll be shown the door.

Most of the "Making the Band"-maker 's friends -- including Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, Donna Karan and Ashley Olsen -- complied. But former "Top Chef" host Katie Joel, wife of piano man Billy Joel, made a fashion faux pas when she showed up in cream, not white. The horror!

Combs' party police cited Joel for a violation, and requested that she change her outfit in order to attend the fete. Joel opted to go home instead.

Martha's Neighbor's Sing Out -- Again

Martha, Martha, Martha! The battle over Katonah, the town where Martha Stewart lives, rages on. Stewart is planning to trademark the name of the town for an upcoming line of furniture and home products, but Katonah residents aren't thrilled with the idea.

Town resident Marc Black previously penned an anti-Martha song, and now another local band, The Advanced Placement Band, are getting in on the act with a song called "The Katonah," reports Page Six.

What are some of the lyrics? "K-Town doesn't need Martha Stewart Living/or any of the bad press that you've been giving/You preheat our ovens for bagels and lox/I hope they don't burn to a crisp like your stocks." Ooh, burn!

Party Favors...Almost Famous Adrian Carded...

Don't you know who I am?! "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier plays a super famous celeb on TV, but that doesn't mean he gets to be one in real life. Page Six reports that Grenier was in N.Y. and showed up at a Lower East Side dive bar the other night with a small, uh, entourage -- and was carded by a clueless door guy. Grenier cordially handed over his license before partying all night with friends.
