Tara Reid has come a long way since 2006 -- when Kim Kardashian famously left her in the dust outside a hot Hollywood nightclub -- in fact, just last night, Tara actually exchanged WORDS with the reality TV queen.
It's a video from the annals of TMZ history -- a young and nubile Kim Kardashian walking arm-in-arm with Paris Hilton into Hyde nightclub in 2006 ... breezing straight past Tara Reid, who'd been forced to wait in line.
But last night in Cannes (on Diddy's yacht) -- we're told Kim actually acknowledged Tara's existence, even speaking to the "American Pie" actress for several full minutes.
And to bring it all full circle -- Paris Hilton was there too!!! But we're told Kim didn't spend much time with her.
Paris Hilton is tied up in court today -- because she wants to show a New York judge she takes her bitter legal battle with an Italian lingerie company super seriously.
If you recall ... Hilton and Le Bonitas -- an Italian lingerie company -- are embroiled in a lawsuit over a product deal gone bad. Hilton signed a 5-year deal to create a line of lingerie, pj's and swimwear with the company, but the project fizzled ... and now both sides are suing each other.
Hilton showed up to New York federal court today -- where lawyers are arguing key issues -- and sources close to Paris tell us, she showed up because she wants the court to know how important this case is to her and her brand.
Hilton is suing for more than $1.5 million -- the amount she was supposed to snag in royalties -- and Le Bonitas is suing for $200K plus.
12:55 PM PDT -- The judge just sent both sides home empty-handed -- refusing to rule in either's favor, urging Paris and Le Bonitas to settle the case out of court instead. If they can't, they'll have to present their case to a jury later this year.
Paris Hilton left Madeo in the nick of time ... 'cause as she was pulling out of the restaurant in her red Ferrari last night ... a HUGE brawl broke out in the middle of the street ... and it was all captured on tape.
It all started when a valet and a paparazzo (not ours) ... started yelling at each other ... and the valet straight up BITCH SLAPS the pap right in the face.
The pap drops his gear and goes after the valet ... and during the melee, they knock into a man and his date ... who had just finished dining and were waiting at the valet stand.
The male patron flips out ... and unleashes a fists-of-fury style beatdown on the photog ... while his date calmly gets into the waiting car.
After the pap runs out of steam, the patron moves to get into his waiting Mercedes ... but not before yelling out one final taunt.
No word if the patron ever got around to tipping the valet.
Don Draper isn't one to mince words, so it's only fitting that "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm DESTROYED Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton in a recent interview ... calling them stupid and "f**king idiots."
Hamm appears in next month's issue of ELLE UK, where he said, "Whether it's Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f**king idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly."
Clearly Hamm was not in his right mind when he gave the interview ... because he also said he doesn't "even consider myself handsome."
Suspected Burglar Bunch thief Nick Prugo has pleaded no contest to jacking expensive stuff from the homes of Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge ... and told prosecutors he's totally willing to throw his fellow suspects under the bus.
21-year-old Prugo cut a plea deal ... in which he's expected to serve 2 years in state prison for the Hollywood Hills crime spree.
In exchange for the plea, prosecutors agreed to drop other charges related to burglaries at the homes of Orlando Bloom, Paris Hilton and Rachel Bilson.
Prugo also agreed to testify against three other people who allegedly participated in the crime spree.
Prugo is due back in court on May 4 to make it official.
The cracked out Las Vegas District Attorney who prosecuted Bruno Mars and Paris Hilton for cocaine just got 9 months in jail and a public ASS-CHEWING from the judge in his own drug case.
Former Deputy District Attorney David Schubert struck a plea deal with prosecutors after cops say they found $40 worth of crack cocaine and an unregistered pistol in his car last March.
As Schubert hung his head in shame, the judge dished out the 9 month jail sentence ... and then trashed him as a "disgrace to his oath as a prosecutor and a lawyer."
Ironically, neither Hilton nor Mars got one single day in jail in their Vegas cocaine cases.
Schubert has until March 12 to turn himself in so he can begin his sentence.
Paris Hilton's war with Vegas titan Steve Wynn has apparently come to an end ... because she partied her face off at one of his nightclubs last night ... 15 months after she was banned from the property.
TMZ has obtained photos of Hilton getting down and dirty inside Surrender nightclub at Wynn's ultra-swanky Encore hotel in Vegas last night.
Paris had been blackballed from all things Wynn back in August 2010 -- after she was arrested for cocaine possession as she arrived to The Wynn hotel.
Paris has since completed her legal obligations -- now, it seems she's made good with Wynn, too.

Paris Hilton was in the middle of a shopping frenzy the day after XMAS, when a nose-y photographer snapped a pic of the interior of her hybrid Yukon SUV ... which was partially covered with a suspicious looking white powder -- but don't jump to conclusions, because it's NOT cocaine.
We contacted Paris, who scoffed at the intimation it was blow. She immediately sent us her own pic of the SUV's interior, which she says clearly shows it's a foundation from her makeup kit.
You'll recall, Paris was busted in Las Vegas last year for cocaine possession. She pled guilty and was sentenced to community service.
