Remy Ma wants her lawyers to exercise her get out of jail card ... just in time for the holidays.

Remy's mouthpieces have filed for an appeal on her eight-year prison sentence for shooting a woman in the stomach outside of an NYC nightclub last year. Her attorneys claim the trial was riddled with mistakes by the judge. They want the lil' felon sprung in time for Xmas.
Remy always has maintained that the shooting was an "accident."
The woman who got shot by Remy Ma is suing everyone and everything -- looking to score some cash.

In a lawsuit filed in the Bronx, Makeda Barnes-Joseph doesn't just go after Remy, she wants coin from Remy's music label and even the pizza joint where she and Remy were boozing before she got shot. She claims that Universal Music received "financial profit and economic benefit from the unlawful, violent and anti-social conduct" of Ma.
As for The Pizza Bar, Makeda says they kept serving Remy even though she was "visibly" blotto. Remy's people didn't immediately return a call for comment.
You'd think that after being convicted by a jury and being sentenced to eight years in state prison, Remy Ma might be a tiny bit repentant about shooting her ex-friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph.

But
oh no she isn't: Yesterday, on New York's
Hot 97 with Miss Jones, Remy called in to blast her accuser after Barnes herself called in to set the record straight. Four priceless words: "
My stomach is crazy!"If you thought Remy was out of control before, you're not going to
believe this s**t!
Dayum that's a long time! A judge has just sentenced Remy Ma to eight years in the slammer for shooting a woman outside a NYC nightclub. She had faced up to 25 years.

Remy, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, cried as she heard the sentence, claiming last summer's shooting was an "accident." Her lawyer says he'll appeal.
Adding more ridiculousness to her drama, correction officers at Rikers Island say they called off Remy's weekend wedding at the jail after her fiance, rapper Papoose, tried to sneak in a handcuff key! He was kicked off the island and told he couldn't come back for six months. That's gonna hurt those conjugal visits!

Recently, rumors have been swirling in the hip-hop world that rapper Remy Ma has had some, er, female relations in the past -- and they're not referring to her cousins! A lesbian rapper -- unheard of!
The fire was further fueled when a woman's video confession popped up on YouTube -- in which she claims to have had a sexual experience with Remy Ma. Hey Ma, I'm a lesbian?!
Remy is refuting the claims, and in 2007, her publicist still felt the need to issue
the following statement to TMZ to clear up the sexual confusion. In case you care.

Busta Rhymes and Remy Ma were both in Manhattan Criminal Court today, possibly on their way to trials on their respective assault cases, but both were in and out of court in a flash -- with the focus of attention on Remy's lollipop.

Busta's facing a trial on two assault charges and a DUI, which was moved to January 23. His lawyer, Scott Leemon, in a statement to TMZ says the extra time is needed to give the judge time to review a letter he filed "under seal." No word on what's in the letter.
Meanwhile, Remy, also charged with assault after she allegedly shot her own friend, had a tougher time finding her car than she had in the courtroom -- where her case was adjourned until December 5. When asked how court was, the normally yappy rapper deadpanned, "It was court."
Rapperista Remy Ma made her way into Manhattan Criminal Court to face a slew of assault and witness-intimidation charges, and it looks like she's following in the stiletto-heeled footsteps of rap diva forerunners Lil' Kim and Foxy Brown, by making an ordinary day in court look like a fashion show!

Ex-Terror Squad member Ma (real name: Remy Smith)
showed up to court in velvet riding boots, white jeans, a bright plaid jacket and full Anna Wintour bob. The judge didn't do much -- apart from ordering Smith to give up her passport and cautioning her not to interfere with any witnesses (as she's alleged to have done in July).
Smith will also need to return to Criminal Court on November 7 to start proceedings on assault and other charges, stemming from incidents in July and August involving an alleged shooting and fracas at a Bronx club, during which the boyfriend of a potential witness was allegedly beaten up by Ma's posse.

Crazypants rapper Remy Ma is in even deeper legal ma-nure today, after allegedly having her heavies put the beatdown on the boyfriend of a potential witness in her earlier assault case.
TMZ has learned that Remy (real last name Smith) was at Players Club in the Bronx on August 19 when a tussle went down. At the club, Remy saw the boyfriend of a possible witness in her earlier case -- in which she's accused of the July 14 shooting of a friend she accused of stealing $2,000 from her purse -- and allegedly had her posse rough him up, fracturing his face. A friend of the man was also injured, requiring hospitalization for a week.

They lined up for haute couture, but arrived looking like forty cents worth of "have mercy!" Many celebs at NYC's Fashion Week sidled up to the shows in less-than-stellar style.
