Vitali Sediuk appeared on TMZ Live today, claiming his new holy grail is 19-year-old Selena Gomez -- "I love her. She is my future project. Selena, hi. I'm not afraid of Justin Bieber. He's not competition."

Selena Gomez has FINALLY snagged long-term protection from a delusional man who says he's spoken with God about killing the actress.
Gomez got a 3-year restraining order against Thomas Brodnicki this AM ... after a judge agreed Brodnicki posed a serious danger to her safety.
The Disney star was NOT present in the L.A. Courtroom when the order was handed down ... nor was Brodnicki.
As we previously reported, the judge had previously refused to enter the long-term order because Brodnicki had not been present to tell his side of the story. But this time, Selena's lawyer submitted a declaration from Brodnicki himself in which he admitted "a restraining order should be issued against me to prevent me from trying to contact Selena."
He added, "I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena."
How's this for bizarre ...The man who says he's had conversations with God about killing Selena Gomez is saying Selena needs protection from him.
Thomas Brodnicki -- who was charged with felony stalking but had the charges dismissed last month -- is now siding with Selena in her bid for a permanent restraining order against him.
The judge in the case has refused to issue the restraining order until Brodnicki could appear in court and defend himself. But now Brodnicki -- who was picked up on a psychiatric hold last month -- filed a sworn declaration telling the judge that he didn't want to attend the next court hearing on January 6, adding, "I believe that a restraining order should be issued against me to prevent me from trying to contact Selena Gomez."
Brodnicki goes on ... "I do not wish to object to the restraining order against me because I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena."
In another declaration that was just filed, LAPD Detective Jose Viramontes said when he picked Brodnicki up on the psych hold, "He told me that he had over fifty conversations with God a day, about killing Ms. Gomez."

Moments ago, the judge in Selena's alleged stalker case refused to hear the singer's request for a permanent restraining order because Thomas Brodnicki -- who's temporarily in the looney bin -- was unable to appear in court.
Gomez' lawyer mentioned to the judge he could have contacted the court when he was free, but Brodnicki chose to speak with TMZ instead ... so it was his choice whether to contact the court.
Nevertheless, the judge was not moved ... and ruled he would not issue a permanent restraining order until Brodnicki has his day in court
In the meantime, the judge has extended the temporary restraining order so she still has some fleeting protection.
The judges ruling was bizarre because other judges regularly issue permanent restraining orders ... even when the alleged stalker is not in court.
Thomas Brodnicki -- Selena Gomez' alleged stalker who was freed from jail last night -- is no longer a free man, because we've learned he's just been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold in what has become a desperate attempt to keep him away from the singer.
We just shot video of Brodnicki being taken away in handcuffs ... law enforcement sources tell us he's being taken to a hospital for mental evaluation.
As we first reported ... cops believe Brodnicki poses a real danger to Selena Gomez. Detectives say Brodnicki told them he's had discussions with God about killing Gomez. Brodnicki denies making that statement.
Brodnicki ominously told us ... the only thing he wants to touch is Selena.
As we reported ... law enforcement sources tell us they want to place Brodnicki in a conservatorship, and then ship him back to mental health officials in Illinois where he resides -- far away from Selena.
Selena Gomez' alleged stalker is clearly out of his mind ... telling TMZ, "I'm very anti-material ... I don't like even touching anything that isn't Selena Gomez."

it may be like scripture says ... 'No man has seen the face of God' ...
Maybe us being together is too much like seeing the face of God."
As for the whole 2016 reunion -- Thomas tells us, "One of my favorite scenarios is [Selena] flies out here on March 23, 2016. We start seeing each other, and we don't even touch each other for a month."
Brodnicki says he won't try and see Gomez because there's a restraining order prohibiting it, and besides, he says, she's in Canada now.
Brodnicki is being evaluated right now by a shrink and LAPD detectives, who will probably end up putting him on a 5150 psychiatric hold.
