October 17th is
National Boss' Day -- so to celebrate this joyous occasion, TMZ is honoring the biggest BOSS of them all...
Tony Danza!
"There's a time for life and a time for living ... "
Tony Danza has filed for divorce from his wife of 24 years ... TMZ has learned.

Danza cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
Tony and
Tracy Danza have two daughters, Katherine, 23, and Emily, 17.
The couple has been separated since 2006.
TV hunks of yore, "
Happy Days" star
Henry Winkler, 65, and "
Who's the Boss" dad
Tony Danza, 59, both beamed at the same event in D.C. on Thursday.

Question is ...
Tony Danza is the boss.

Here's the 33-year-old Brooklyn boy back in 1984 (
left) -- and 26 years later, the 59-year-old version at an event in NYC (
right).
He's golden.
Ay-oh, oh-ay --
Tony Danza hit a Porsche with his car door!

Granted, our photog distracted him with questions about his pants (yes, really) but Tony drove off, apparently deeming the ding to be minor.
Tragedy/noun. -- a giant crack in a sweet ass classic ride, like
Tony Danza's awesome Speedster (see below).
Candace Cameron, aka DJ Tanner, told us the gals of the show were gonna meet up soon for dinner -- but don't expect MK and Ashley Olsen to be joinin' them. What about Kimmy Gibbler?!
Also in L.A.: Ice T did his best imitation of an owl, Jason Statham was in a good mood for a change, Kat showed off her tat, Tony Danza wasn't thrilled to be shot, the Pussycat Dolls met a borderline obsessive fan and Daisy de la Hoya was hot for incest.
Oscar De La Hoya dominated in the ring against Steve Forbes -- but former boxer/failed talk show host Tony Danza wasn't impressed.
Not a great idea to belittle "The Golden Boy" too much Tony, or he'll really show you who's the boss.

Failed talk show host Tony Danza vowed dramatically never to watch CNN again because of wall-to-wall Paris Hilton coverage, but he sure liked Paris enough to feature her on the first week of his now-canceled talk show a few years back -- and to pimp her appearance beforehand.
The "Who's the Boss?" ex-star slammed CNN for its Paris coverage, whining to the
Washington Post that "I'll never watch CNN again" because "they don't give you want you need, they give you what you want."
But we did a little research, and it seems that Paris was what Tony wanted on his show back in September 2004 -- booking her for his fourth episode and boasting to Time magazine, "I think I wanna teach her how to cook. Just in case somebody comes over, Paris, you can whip this up for them."
Once you've been there, it's hard to forget Paris. Danza is another story.
