Tracy looked in good spirits on his way into the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards -- smiling, chatting -- but for some reason, one of his producers felt the need to constantly reassure the actor under his breath ... saying things like, "I'm right here" ... "We got you."
It's unclear from the footage what was bothering Tracy.

Tracy Morganseems hell-bent on offending every minority group he can ... add the mentally and physically disabled to the ever-growing list.
Tracy warned his audience at a performance in New York City this weekend, "Don't ever mess with women who have retarded kids." The audience groaned, but Tracy didn't stop: "Them young retarded males is strong. They're strong like chimps."
But more was yet to come. Tracy reminisced about a girl he once dated, describing her as "a cripple" with a prosthetic arm, a mechanical larynx and a portable dialysis machine.
You'll recall, earlier this month, Tracy drew fire for another performance, in which he said he would stab his son to death if he spoke in a "gay voice."
Tracy apologized for the comments about gays, but now we gotta ask ...
Tracy Morgan put on his serious face today in NY -- to meet with some homeless gay teens and victims of anti-gay violence -- in an effort to educate himself after his recent homophobic comedy act.
During the meeting -- organized by GLAAD -- Morgan spoke with two young gay people, Jayden Love and Raciel Castillo (pictured above, to the right of
Morgan), who were forced to live on the streets after they were shunned by their families.
Afterward, Jayden and Raciel said, "We really appreciate that we were able to meet with Tracy Morgan ... We hope that our stories have the power to change not only Tracy's perspective, but those of any parent who may be struggling with accepting their child."
Tracy plans to go to Tennessee next week (the site of his homophobic performance) to apologize to the people he offended and to meet with the Tennessee Equality Project and local advocates.

Tracy spoke with Jarrett Barrios today -- the President of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation -- who tells us, GLAAD reached out to Tracy about an in-person apology in Nashville next week ... and Tracy agreed on the spot.
If that weren't enough -- Barrios tells us, Tracy also plans to visit homeless gay teens at the Ali Forney Center in NYC this week ... teens disowned by their parents because of their sexual orientation.
The cherry on top -- Tracy also plans to film a PSA for GLAAD's upcoming "Amplify Your Voice" campaign.
Chris Rock came to the defense of fellow comedian Tracy Morgan after Tracy's homophobic rant became public ... then backed off his support a little, saying he doesn't "support it at all."
Morgan's rant went down during a show in Nashville last week. Among his remarks, he said if his son ever came out to him, he "better talk to me like a man and not in a gay voice or I'll pull out a knife and stab that little n**ger to death."
Morgan has since apologized for the remarks, but Rock had Tracy's back on Friday when he tweeted, "I dont know about you, but I dont want to live in world where Tracy Morgan cant say foul inappropriate s**t."
But Rock got back online last night and explained that he hadn't heard everything Tracy had said, until now. He explained, "wow i get it that s**t wasn't called for and i don't support it at all. now can i please go to the tony awards without getting my ass kicked."
Tina Feysays she was disturbed by the "violent imagery" in Tracy Morgan's homophobic stand-up act in Nashville -- but insists her "30 Rock" co-star is not a "hateful man."
In a statement to TMZ, Tina said she's glad Tracy apologized -- but explained, "The violent imagery
of Tracy's rant was disturbing to me at a time when homophobic hate
crimes continue to be a life-threatening issue for the GLBT Community."
Fey continued, "It also doesn't line up with the Tracy Morgan I know, who is not a
hateful man and is generally much too sleepy and self-centered to ever
hurt another person.
"I hope for his sake that Tracy's apology will be accepted as sincere by
his gay and lesbian co-workers at '30 Rock', without whom Tracy would not
have lines to say, clothes to wear, sets to stand on, scene partners to
act with, or a printed-out paycheck from accounting to put in his
pocket."
NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt claims the network has warned Morgan about the incident -- saying, "Tracy’s comments reflect negatively on both '30 Rock' and NBC – two
very all-inclusive and diverse organizations – and we have made it clear
to him that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated."
