Mel Gibson has at least ONE person who is backing up his claim that he's NOT a racist -- his alleged mistress -- who swears Mel is a VERY tolerant person behind closed doors.



TMZ spoke with Violet Kowal -- the woman who claims she was Mel's other woman when he was with Oksana -- who tells us, "Violent, racist, anti-Semitic ... are you serious? When I was around Mel, he never once made any racist or derogatory comments about anyone."

She adds, "The people who are close to him knows better than anyone ... he was very kind to me, my friends and family whom are all from different walks of life."

Violet is adamant, "[Mel] will recover from this incident and prove that those tapes does not reflect on who he really is."

Earlier this week, Mel gave an interview to Deadline.com ... explaining the infamous recordings were simply, "One terribly awful moment in time, said to one person in the span of one day, and doesn't represent what I truly believe or how I've treated people my entire life."

The woman who claims to have been Mel Gibson's mistress at the time of the now-famous January 6 blowout says she was badgered by Mel's bodyguard to keep her mouth shut ... this according to sources who have been in touch with the woman.



Sources say Violet Kowal claims she was communicating with Mel on January 6 about his blowup with Oksana Grigorieva. 

In the days following -- January 7, 8 and 9 --  Violet Kowal claims she was contacted by one of Mel's bodyguards.  We're told Kowal says the bodyguard sent text messages, warning her that she couldn't talk about the incident and that she should "disappear" for a price.

And sources say Kowal -- who is now repped by Gloria Allred -- has phone records and text messages.

Sources also say ... Kowal claims to have an email she received recently from the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services, the Sensitive Case Unit, informing her they wanted to speak with her.  So far, we're told, Kowal has not met with anyone from DCFS.

TMZ has learned the infamous other women will unite for some kind of strip club tour. McGee and Kowal -- Mel Gibson's alleged mistress -- had their first dual outing in Hollywood last week. Sources close to the pair tell us the strip tour dates and locations are TBD.

As we first reported, Kowal just hired Gloria Allred and she shares the same manager as Bombshell.

Guess that won't be the only thing they share.

Mel Gibson's alleged mistress Violet Kowal is now in the big leagues of the mistress game -- retaining coach attorney Gloria Allred ... TMZ has learned.



Sources tell us Allred is now representing the Polish fitness model who reportedly claimed she had an affair with Gibson while Oksana Grigorieva was pregnant.

Kowal seems to be following the mistress handbook to the letter. She now has the same attorney as Rachel Uchitel ... and, we've learned, she has the same manager as Michelle "Bombshell" McGee.

It's unclear why Kowal needs legal representation at this point.

Then again, it all worked out for Uchitel.

It was a meeting of the mistresses (one alleged, one confirmed) in L.A. last night -- as one of Jesse James' women on the side and Mel Gibson's alleged fling had dinner together in Hollywood.
