The rapper tells TMZ ... he let himself slide after his stint on the reality show back in 2007 ... but was recently inspired to get his ass back in the gym after a brutally honest conversation with Dre.

“A lot of people in my family have high blood pressure" ... Warren says ... adding, "Dre told me I better start hitting the gym ... so I took his advice."

Warren says his "feel good workout plan" consists of running and boxing nearly every day ... along with cutting the crap out of his diet.

Still, Warren admits his renewed exercise kick isn't just health related -- "Seeing Dre looking all cut up and in shape made me want to get myself together and look right, too.”

Gotta respect the honesty.

Warren G is pulling out of a claim he made on a penis pill commercial -- that he personally uses the erectile dysfunction medication -- telling TMZ, "A lot of people have that problem ... but I don't have it!"



Warren cops to using the Affirm XL "male enhancement" pill in a brand new commercial -- in which he says, "I take MY Affirm XL and now I got to regulate" .... but according to Warren G, the verbal endorsement was just for show.

Warren -- who's also a partner in the male enhancement company -- tells us, "The commercials are funny and I meant for it to be funny. This is not something that dictates who I am."

He's not a regular user, but Warren confesses he did try the pill once and loves it -- claiming it worked ... hard.

Warren G set-up a comedy trifecta for TMZ -- and we couldn't have reached this new high (or low) without his male enhancement pill commercials. Way to regulate, Warren!

Warren G is seriously rising to the occasion -- because the guy's peddling PENIS pills on brand new infomercials ... and even claims to use the sexual enhancement products to regulate himself.



The commercials are set to air tonight -- but Warren tells TMZ, he had no idea ... in fact, he hasn't even signed a contract with the company yet.

No bigs though -- we're told Warren put a call into his lawyer yesterday ... and expects everything to work out just fine.

Warren G got back in the studio to lay down a tribute to Nate Dogg ... and TMZ scored a snippet of the track called, "This Is Dedicated to You."



Warren G tells us he actually recorded the track a few months before Nate died -- Nate battled serious health issues for years -- and Warren adds, "It's a song I'm just doing for my homeboy, letting people know how I feel."

The lyrics honor Nate for contributing classic hooks on West Coast rap's biggest hits ...

"All these albums we drop will never be the same without your voice on 'em ...
Choked up, smoked out, riding to these melodies."

Warren says all profits from 'Dedicated' will go to a trust fund for Nate's kids.

Getting stuck in an elevator with a bunch of half-naked skanks doesn't sound bad in theory -- until they start freaking out.

Warren G, his entourage and a group of club rats were trapped in an elevator at the Mirage in Las Vegas for just over an hour early Saturday morning. The ladies were shrill, but G played it cool, talking on the emergency phone the entire time.

And how's this for a strange coincidence -- Carey Hart was locked down in an elevator, at the same time, at the Hard Rock in San Diego. Looks like nobody was livin' it up when they're going down.

The ladies took front and center today in the Thirty Mile Zone -- and while Warren G got trapped in an elevator full of freaked out chicks, Jeffrey Ross let us know the kind of girl he's into better come equipped with an artificial hip.


Also: Michelle Rodriguez made absolutely no sense, and Jennifer Lopez hung out with Nicole Richie.

That was quick! The L.A. County District Attorney has rolled up and thrown out drug charges against Warren G and buddy Ryan Butler.

The D.A. tells us there's "insufficient evidence" to link the two men to the cheeba cops found in the trunk as the car was not registered to either one of them.

After getting popped this weekend for possession in Hollywood, Warren G's reps issued this truly original statement to TMZ.

"They were in the Hollywood area for Kanye's party. He was a passenger asleep in the front seat when the car was pulled over. They charged him because he didn't debrief. Whatever was found wasn't his, it was in the car."
