Singer/songwriter Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989 to parents Andrea and Scott. She and her younger brother, Austin, were raised in Pennsylvania on a Christmas tree farm with horses. She rode horses, but found music was her true calling at a young age. At 13, Swift signed a development deal with RCA Records, but left the label after one year. She then signed with Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Records. To help her pursuit of a music career, the Swift family relocated to a suburb of Nashville called Henderson, Tennessee her freshman year of high school.
Her albums include “Fearless,” “Speak Now,” “Red,” “1989,” and “Reputation.” Swift’s extensive list of hit songs include “Out of the Woods,” “Back to December,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “22,” “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “Bad Blood,” “You Belong With Me,” “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off,” and “Look What You Made Me Do.” Fans and media often speculate which relationship and ex-boyfriend Swift’s lyrics reference. She initially released country music, but has since transitioned to pop. Swift has won Grammys, MTV Video Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards, and Teen Choice Awards. She’s also dabbled in acting with a role in the film “Valentine’s Day” and a guest spot on an episode of “CSI.” Swift is a proud cat mom to Dr. Meredith Grey and Detective Olivia Benson, who are named after two of her favorite television characters.
