The Situation is definitely NOT to blame for the mini-guido baking inside of Snooki's womb ... this according to Sitch's BFF.

"The Unit" -- aka Jonny Manfre -- just called in to “Big Poppa” Gary Spears at KISS-FM in NY ... and said there is absolutely NO baby daddy controversy ... despite the fact Snooki allegedly got all smooshy with Sitch in the past.

"It's not Situation's baby ... I'll tell you that much ... I would assume it's Jionni's baby." Unit is referring to Snook's BF, Jionni Lavalle.

The MTV star adds, "Whatever happened in the past, happened in the past. If these people love each other and they're willing to get past each other's skeletons in the closet ... then great."

The Situation's GTL bestie Jonny "The Unit" Manfre took time out from fighting with Snooki on "Jersey Shore" and flaunted his buff & hairless strength at Muscle Beach in Venice Beach on Wednesday.

The Unit -- alongside his smoking hot XXX girlfriend Amia Miley -- proved his jacked up muscles weren't only for show, and even held himself up sideways off a bar.

Say what you will about the guy, but he's one strong dbag.

The Unit claims there's no way in hell he was in possession of a powerful horse tranquilizer when he was arrested in Seaside Heights last year ... and just pled NOT GUILTY to the charge in a NJ court.

The "Jersey Shore" star -- real name John Manfre -- was arrested in Seaside Heights back in July for possession of a controlled substance ... later determined to be Ketamine, often used as a horse tranq.

After the hearing, Unit's lawyer, Raymond Raya, told us, "There were some issues regarding my client's constitutional rights."

The lawyer added, "We entered the not guilty plea NOT because that's the normal thing to do ... we actually entered the not guilty plea because we believe that based on those issues, John is not guilty."

Unit's attorney added, "We expect a very favorable outcome."

Snooki's new "Jersey Shore" nemesis -- The Unit -- is a major douchebag, but don't take our word for it ... we got Mr. Unit to own up to his douchery all by himself. You're welcome, Snooks.

The Unit from "Jersey Shore" is gearing up to face the music on a drug possession charge in New Jersey -- and he ain't exactly denying the allegations.

The newest MTV reality star was arrested last summer at the "Jersey Shore" party house in Seaside Heights -- when cops claim they found the drug "Special K" on his person. Special K is a hallucinogen, similar to PCP.

Unit called in to TMZ Live moments ago ... and though he admitted to having drug problems in the past ... he wouldn't talk about the specifics regarding the current charge.

When asked if he'd be open to a plea bargain to avoid jail time ... Unit hedged his answer.

Unit added, "I've had [drug] issues in the past and I've flourished coming out of them ... and I'm a complete man and I'm sober."

Moments after The Unit made his big debut on the new season of "Jersey Shore" ... dude hit the streets of the L.A. last night ... and immediately took his first public shot at Snooki.

The Situation's pal was leaving STK with porn star Amia Miley -- when the paps asked about his big fight with the Snookster on last night's show (below).



Unit quipped, "The thing with me and Snooki ... she can't seem to take my name out of her mouth ... but that's Snooki for you, she's always got something in her mouth."
