Carly Smithson -- Amateur Butt Cleaner

It's only been a few months since "American Idol" loser Kimberly Caldwell broke up with David Cook, but she's already found another "Idol" wannabeen to look after her ass: Carly Smithson.

Kimberly Caldwell: Click to watch
The A.I. castoffs rolled up to Apple in West Hollywood last night, and before they went inside, our cameras caught Carly cleaning "the fluff" off of Kim's butt.

Hey, at least she's got a job!

"American Idol" Top 36 -- Only One Ex-Con?

It seems as though you can count on every group of fresh-faced "American Idol" finalists to harbor at least a few hardened criminals. But surprisingly, it looks like only one of this year's Top 36 has spent time in the slammer.

American Idol

Jessica Langseth, a singer from Minneapolis, was busted a few years back on DUI. She pled guilty, spent four days in jail and was put on probation for two years -- more than enough time to master the art of bare-knuckled combat. Jessica's probation was cut short and she officially became a free woman last December.

Let's just hope there aren't any sharpened toothbrushes lying around the set. You know, for Simon's sake.

Kelly Clarkson Unbites the Hand that Feeds Her

Kelly ClarksonKelly Clarkson is officially crawling back to people that made her who she is ... by reselling out and hitting up an "Idol" event at, of all places, Disney World.

In the greatest gathering of minds since the creation of NATO, sources say Clarkson -- who has dissed "A.I." and Clive Davis in the past -- is joining the other six winners (and a slew of losers) from the show for the debut of the "American Idol Experience" at Disney World in Orlando tonight.

The "A.I." experience is a 365-day-a-year dream-crushing extravaganza for all the wannabe singers at the park -- not including the employees forced to sing "It's A Small World" by the bathrooms at the Kilimanjaro Safari.

"American Idol" Contestant Booted

American IdolTMZ has learned Top 36 "American Idol" contestant Joanna Pacitti was forced to pull out from the show because of ties to an A.I. exec.

Last night Joanna made the cut, but this morning "American Idol's" website revealed this: "It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is ineligible to continue in the competition."

So what the hell does that mean? Glad you asked: Joanna's former manager at Geffen (yeah, she had a record deal) is now a big wig at 19 Entertainment (which produces "Idol"). It's unclear how that went unnoticed for five months, but we're told producers demanded her resignation yesterday. We're told Joanna refused to do it.

"American Idol" told us "No comment." Felicia Barton took her spot.

"A.I." Contestant Ordered to SCRAM

If "American Idol" wannabe Emily Wynne-Hughes manages to stick around for a while, you might get to see the first contestant perform with an alcohol monitoring bracelet!

Turns out Emily -- the same tattooed chick who can't seem to keep her pants on -- is smack in the middle of a DUI fiasco, and she has been ordered to wear a SCRAM bracelet.

The whole thing is over an arrest back in July, where cops busted her for allegedly driving drunk in West Hollywood. Emily copped a plea to a lesser charge of reckless driving.

In addition to the bracelet, Emily was placed on 3 years probation.

We've learned there may be another hearing and the judge could back down on the SCRAM bracelet -- but for now the order stands.

"Idol" Wannabe Makes an A** of Herself

The "American Idol" contestant that was willing to sell out her bandmates in order to go to Hollywood apparently has a lot of practice putting her ass on the line.

Emily Wynne-Hughes, who is in the popular L.A. band Go Betty Go and who sang "Barracuda" last night, is clearly not shy about showing her bare bottom.

No one ever said class was a requirement for the show.

Did 'A.I.'s' Chris Daughtry Kill a Bird?

The 'Idol' contestants are staying in living quarters in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles. We're told a neighbor called FOX to complain about Chris Daughtry's loud music. The woman alleges that Chris' music is so loud and stressful that it killed her bird, Sweet Pea.

Chris Daughtry feels bad about the dead bird. His fellow contestants -- not so much. We're told a few of them joked that Chris should wear a t-shirt that says "R.I.P. Sweat Pea."

Tucker Was Not Suprised by 'A.I.' Vote

'A.I.' said goodbye to Lisa Tucker Wednesday night and we're told that the 16-year-old knew it was coming. Tucker's mom hung out at the studio all day Wednesday for moral support, knowing how hard it was on her daughter.

Tucker's mom told friends that Lisa was prepared to say "goodbye," taking comfort in the fact that 'Idol' had become a building block for a promising career. Mom also told friends that her daughter had received so many calls from networks and theatrical companies, it was sick. Disney is rumored to be one of them!

'A.I.' Contestants Chow Down at Farewell Dinner

TMZ's camera caught the 'A.I.' contestants going to Universal CityWalk Wednesday night after the show. It's become a ritual to have a "farewell dinner" for the contestant who is booted -- in this case, Lisa Tucker.

The group was dressed casually for the most part, as they went to Buca di Beppo, a family-style Italian restaurant. Check out your favorite contestants in a candid moment.

Former 'Idol' Star's Band Moves On

'American Idol' Season Four contestant Constantine Maroulis only came in sixth place in the competition, but he's still emerged a winner with one of the hottest up and coming careers to burst out of 'Idol.' With a new solo album in the works --- along with an ABC sitcom pilot and an indie flick on the way -- Constantine has said "goodbye" to his pre-'Idol' bandmates from the group Pray for the Soul of Betty.

TMZ sat down with one of Constantine's ex-bandmates -- bassist Taylor, C.R. -- to get the group's perspective on the split. It's not your typical rock 'n' roll break-up, and Taylor thinks the bands new found popularity could lead to a great replacement for Constantine. You might be surprised by Taylor's reaction to Constantine's booming career, the band's higher profile, and 'American Idol' itself.

Radio Hosts Ask: Would Mandisa Be an 'Idol' Front-Runner if She Were White?

The top rated 'Kevin and Bean Show' on Los Angeles radio station KROQ posed an interesting question Friday morning: Would Mandisa be a Top 10 contestant on 'American Idol' if she were white

"It's fascinating that she can be a front runner and look like she does, yet there's no way 'Whitey' shows up at 280 [lbs.] and gets in the Top 10. It's not even possible," commented Bean, half of the the popular team of Kevin and Bean -- both of whom are white.

Listen to the KROQ segment

With Mandisa considered one of 'Idol's' favorites, the discussion, which included co-hosts Ralph Garman and Lisa May, focused on how overweight Caucasian 'Idol' contestants are seemingly treated differently from African-American contestants. "What is the double standard?," they asked. "Why is it acceptable for the African-American contestants -- and we're not just talking about 'American Idol'-- in all the world, you can be big and black and be considered sexy and no one's trying to get you to lose any weight... yet the big white guy all of a sudden is a pariah."

Mandisa Scores at Plus-Size Store

Mandisa won over the hard-to-please Simon Tuesday night on 'American Idol' with her singing and her style. Her knockout dress was a winner.
TMZ was at the Fox Hills Mall on Monday in Culver City, Calif. when Mandisa went through the racks at Ashley Stewart, a plus-size women's store.

Today, a clerk from the store confirmed that Mandisa wore their dress -- a dress she purchased for $39! The clerk says since the TMZ story went up and Mandisa shined on stage, they've received calls from all over the United States inquiring about the dress.
If you're interested, better act quickly -- there are only five left.
By the way, Mandisa bought other outfits during last Monday from Ashley Stewart that she may wear on upcoming 'A.I.' shows.
