Britney's AmEx -- Don't Leave Home, Period!

britney spearsTMZ has obtained court documents filed today, which include a list of Britney Spears' American Express card expenses for the first 11 months of her conservatorship -- the highlight ... she ate at home a lot.

Miss Brit spent a grand total of $5,183.13 at restaurants. Our Britney people tell us the figure is relatively low -- for her -- because daddy Jamie is a cook and did his thing at her house most nights.

As for other expenses on the AmEx card:

Entertainment:
$482.15
Furniture: $17,370.29
Charities: $974.75 (remember, this is just her credit card -- we're told more was donated).
Merchandise, clothing, supplies and groceries: $62,252.11
Transportation/Auto: $18,959.82
Travel: $10,096.53
Communications: $2,150.41

'American Beauty' Star Allegedly Stiffs AmEx

Wes BentleyWes Bentley, the dude who became quasi-famous for calling a plastic bag "beautiful," is seriously in the hole with American Express -- and now they're suing him for over $90,000.

According to the suit, Bentley opened a Gold Account with AmEX, charged up $92,738.86, then never paid it off.

The card company wants their damn money back -- plus reimbursement for interest, attorney's fees and other costs.

Courtney Love: The AmEx Charges Are a Fraud!

Courtney LoveCourtney Love is firing back at American Express for suing her, claiming she owes more than $350,000 in credit card debt.

Love's lawyer sent TMZ a statement claiming the suit is bogus, and that she's been beating her head against the wall for a long time now trying to reason with the credit card company.

Love's lawyer writes: "AmEx knows the claim has no merit. We have told them this for a long time. AmEx's lax policies allowed fraudulent transactions to be charged to my client's card."

UPDATE -- Keith Fink, Courtney's lawyer, tells us that 104 AmEx credit cards were taken out under Courtney's name or the name of her business -- and that all the charges attributed to Courtney weren't made by her. He also said it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out nobody takes out 104 credit cards!

Wes Anderson's Two-Minute Hit

What does it say about Hollywood when the most-discussed movie out there isn't a movie at all, but a two-minute commercial airing before the trailers?

The ad, featuring 'Rushmore' director Wes Anderson, is a spoof of moviemaking, with Anderson playing the role of a demanding director on the set of an action flick.

Already, the American Express spot has become a staple of talent agency gossip, and currently ranks as the third most-viewed video on YouTube.com.

In terms of its movie industry interest, it also helps that the Anderson spot is itself an elaborate film send-up: It's an homage to 'Day for Night,' a film by Francois Truffaut, a director Anderson idolizes.
