Michael Jackson truly believed that he could have charmed Hitler out of doing that thing he did back in the '40s, if only he could have had a sit-down conversation with the guy.
It's all according to a report from The Sun ... who's quoting Michael's friend Rabbi Shmuley ... who says he has a tape of Michael making the comments for an interview the two did a while back. We'll believe it when we hear it....
But in the report, Michael is also quoted as calling Hitler a "genius orator" -- a statement similar to the one Aubrey O'Day made on Fox News a few weeks ago.
Here's a partial transcript from the supposed interview:
Shmuley: "You believe that if you had an hour with Hitler you could somehow touch something inside of him?"
Jackson: "Absolutely. I know I could ... You have to help them, give them therapy, teach them that somewhere, something in their life went wrong."
Unfortunately, Jackson was born in 1958 ... about 13 years after Hitler killed himself.

She's still not backing off her Hitler and Castro statements -- but now Aubrey O'Day is singing her own "brilliant" praises, calling herself, "a 25-year-old pop star liberal who had the courage to go on FOX News against three 60-year-old republicans and have an opinion."
And in a move more transparent than her Playboy spread outfits -- her dinner date last night was of Cuban descent.

From the completely obvious file -- the comments Aubrey O'Day made about Hitler and Fidel Castro on "The Sean Hannity Show" Monday night immediately struck a chord with members of the Jewish community.
TMZ spoke with Rabbi Chaim Cunin of Chabad House who gave us the following statement:
"When a woman like her uses public airwaves, with access to millions of wonderful citizens of America, and calls some of the most despicable, unspeakable hate mongers of history brilliant, then something is lacking with her intelligence.
This is a constant reminder of how careful we need to be when we talk about hate, because hatred is always present. We need to make sure we are careful and that hatred doesn't rear it's ugly head.
'I'd like for her to think about some older Holocaust survivor having that comment beamed into their home while they are enjoying the freedom that this beautiful country provides and having to listen to her disgusting comments."

It's the worst thing to come out of Aubrey O'Day's mouth since her last Danity Kane song -- 'cause last night on "The Sean Hannity Show," the "singer" praised both Fidel Castro and Adolf Hitler as "brilliant" men.
Yeah, she's an idiot, but more importantly -- what the hell was Aubrey O'Day doing on Hannity in the first place?!

Aubrey O'Day was left without any clothes today in Los Angeles -- and this time, it wasn't on purpose.
O'Day tells us she was robbed this morning while on her way to film a segment for the TV Guide Channel. Aubrey says she was walking down an alley near the building when "someone ran behind me and stole everything I was holding" -- including an expensive dress by designer Zac Posen.
Left without a proper outfit, Aubrey says she was forced to wear whatever the TV Guide people had handy.
There is one silver lining to the whole ordeal: Her beloved teacup Maltese named Ginger escaped unharmed -- her makeup guy was holding her.
