Katherine Jackson's new probate lawyer has a Britney Spears connection.
Attorney Adam Streisand from the high-powered law firm of Loeb & Loeb will be repping Katherine -- this, after she fired Burt Levitch and Londell McMillan from probate duties.
Streisand -- a cousin of Barbra Streisand -- was involved early on in the Britney Spears conservatorship case. He had several meetings with Britney but says he realized she was not competent to hire a lawyer on her own so he backed out.

Barbra Streisand's receptionist needs people -- like criminal defense lawyer Blair Berk.
We've learned Tina Fortenberry was arrested for allegedly possessing cocaine and methamphetamines. She was also busted for possession of a dangerous weapon and for driving on a suspended license.
It happened Wednesday on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. Fortenberry was stopped for expired tags. After Sheriff's deputies stopped her they found the contraband inside her car.
The dangerous weapon in her car was a sap -- similar to nunchakus.
At the time of her arrest Fortenberry was carrying some mail for Babs that she was supposed to take to the post office. Someone who works for Barbara had to go to the Sheriff's department to retrieve it.
No word on who is answering Barbra's phones, but we hear Lily Tomlin needs work.

Barbra Streisand kept her infamous mug covered outside Madeo ... maybe she doesn't want to subject us to this again.
Also in L.A.: "Dancing" stars and hasbeens partied at One and Dolce, Kelly Slater tried to sic water-balloon tossing kids on our cameras and Hilary Duff used Villa's curtain cave while her bf hobbled out the front door on crutches.
In NY: Kristi Yamaguchi showed off her mirrorball trophy, as losers Jason Taylor and Cristian de la Fuente stood neaby, Dina and Ali Lohan pimped their show and Debbie Harry went all Rihanna and whipped out an umbrella to keep the camera away.

Some stars gracefully make the move from acting to singing and actually enjoy some success. Jamie Foxx did it with his star turn in "Ray," which prompted him to record a hit album. Other stars moved from singing to acting; Madonna was amazing in "Evita." But some stars should stick to what they do best.
The only thing memorable about Jessica Simpson's acting debut was the Daisy Dukes she wore. And while Paris Hilton has taken some heat for her singing ability, her album can be classified as a hit. Her acting "talent" in films like "House of Wax" and "The Hills" has been called the s**t, and not in a good way.

Barbra Streisand's Bush-bashing tour made it's way to the hotbed that is red state Florida on Monday.
Babs, who was heckled earlier this month after bringing out a Bush impersonator for a skit during a performance in New York, once again brought out a presidential look-a-like and faced outbursts from members in the audience at Fort Lauderdale's Bank Atlantic Center.
A source tells TMZ that during the skit, "Bush" asked Babs if they could sing a solo together to which Streisand replied "How about "Enough is Enough?" (A reference to Babs' 70s disco duet with Donna Summer) At that point a disgruntled fan threw ice at the 64-year-old diva. Barbra kept her cool, opted against using her now infamous retort of "Shut the F**k Up!," and simply said "It's ok, it's ok."
When fans asked her to sing a song for the Republicans, Barbra's suggestion was "Send in the Clowns." This got another audience member upset, who started to boo loudly at the singer. Some of Babs' superfans came to her aid telling the heckler to "shut up!"
While both the heckler and the ice thrower were escorted out of the arena, Barbra remarked, "If you just want to hear my songs, buy my albums and stay at home." And with tickets for Babs tour going for exorbitant prices, no doubt many fans did!
After her comments filled the arena with a round of applause, Babs got back to doing what she does best with her voice -- singing.
Babs' tour, and the controversy associated with it, winds up November 20 in Los Angeles.

Two weeks after unleashing the F-bomb at her concert in New York, Barbra Streisand's raw expletives have been remixed into a dance song.
Earlier this month, Babs performed a humorous skit on her tour that featured a George Bush impersonator. After eliciting a few jeers from the crowd, Streisand asked her fans to "be polite." When that tactic failed, Barbra retorted, "Shut the f**k up! Shut up if you can't take a joke!"
Now, Lucian Piane aka RevoLucian, a New York songwriter/producer, has turned Babs' four-letter-word diatribe into a thumping club track entitled, appropriately enough, "STFU." (We think you can probably discern what that stands for.) "STFU" is making the rounds on the Internet and, considering Streisand's loyal following, is sure to be a huge hit in (gay) clubs across the country in no time.
Although Lucian has not heard from the Streisand camp, he tells TMZ, "It portrays her in a positive light, making her into a champion." And if she doesn't like the track, Lucian jokingly adds he'd tell her, "Shut up if you can't take a joke!"
No word from the Streisand camp if Babs plans to add "STFU" to her tour set list.

As the world copes with the news of North Korea's alleged nuclear testing, there's another explosive event making an even bigger impact in the international community -- Barbra Streisand's F-Bomb.
It all went down during a bit in Streisand's concert in New York City last night, which featured a humorous routine with a George Bush impersonator -- similar to this clip obtained by TMZ. The act drew a few jeers and heckles from the crowd. and after imploring the audience to "be polite" failed, Babs shot back, "Shut the f**k up! Shut up if you can't take a joke!" Oh, Snap!
But the news of Barbra Streisand telling the heckler to "shut the f**k up" isn't just news here in the States -- apparently Babs is big in Africa and Malaysia, too.
We spoke to Streisand's publicist Ken Sunshine earlier today, and he told us that he's gotten interview requests from press outlets in those places and beyond.

After two months of trying to elevate their longtime friendship to something resembling a relationship, Nicole Richie and Brody Jenner have called it quits, but say that they're remaining "close friends." According to Us Weekly, Richie initiated the break-up at Jenner's home in Malibu, and the reality-TV pair – known mainly for being the children of Lionel Richie and Olympian Bruce Jenner – decided mutually to go it alone.
"[Nicole] felt it was a mistake to jump into a relationship so soon after her breakup with [ex-boyfriend Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein]." Of course, according to her MySpace blog, as PerezHilton.com ponts out, Nicole already appears to have a somewhat slender recollection of her time with childhood friend Jenner: "I know there are rumors regarding my 'breakup' with Brody Jenner. The truth is, we were never really together ... my heart was never in it. Anything further is just a cry for publicity." Ouch.
Something's in the air, clearly: Just yesterday, it became public that "The Break-Up" co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn had also split.
Babs Opens Tour, Ridicules Bush, Sings With Prompters
The original diva, Barbra Streisand, began her first tour in 12 years last night with a show that highlighted some of her beloved hits – and took aim at one of Babs' favorite targets, President George W. Bush. Streisand, playing before a capacity crowd of 16,000 at Philadelphia's Wachovia Center, took on the President with a skit that features a fake Bush uttering such lines as "I'm concerned about the national debt, so I'm selling Canada," and "If I cared about the polls I would have run for president of Poland." Now
that, friends, is acidic political satire.
Babs also had to use a teleprompter to remember the words to her own songs, saying that she had been so unnerved when she flubbed the words to three songs at a 1967 concert in New York that she stopped giving live concerts for over 20 years.
Keith "Embarrassed" About Tree Incident
So he wasn't hunting for coconuts, and he didn't really fall out of a tree while climbing it. Rolling Stone Keith Richards sets the record straight about his fall from a tree in Rolling Stone magazine – and he thinks it's "embarrassing." Just to clarify the situation once and for all, Keith says, "I was sitting on this gnarled shrub about six feet of the ground. I was wet – I'd been swimming. I hit the ground the wrong way, my head hit the trunk, and that was that." Keith, God bless, but we still don't have any idea what you're talking about. Still, Richards had to have emergency head surgery – and face scads of public ridicule – following the incident. He's recovered from the accident.
Clay Doesn't Listen To Elton
Mop-topped "American Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken continues to do his best to evade questions about his sexuality. Rush & Molloy caught up with the singer at a performance of "Hairspray" starring his former "Idol" colleague Diana DeGarmo, and asked him the big question. They took a different tack – asking his thoughts about a recent warning from no less an authority on unveiling one's gayness than Elton John, who said that Clay will keep getting the same question until he addresses it. "I have no idea what you're talking about," he said, before taking off with the female members of his family.
Party Favors: De Niro Lays Out Dinero For New Pad, Maggie Has Baby Girl, "Knights" Get Pushed Back
Lower Manhattan's most famous resident, Robert De Niro, has finally found a place uptown – for a cool $23 million. The actor and his wife Grace Hightower, according to the New York Post's Braden Keil,

In case you haven't noticed... it's election time. And when it's election time, it's also time for the stars to pull out their checkbooks to make donations to their pet candidates or causes. So just who are the stars that are willing to shell out their hard earned money?
Barbra Streisand donated a total of $34,000 to Democratic candidates, $2000 of that going towards US Senate candidate Amy Klobuchar. Klobuchar is running for an open Senate seat not in California where Babs lives, but in Minnesota. Matt Damon contributed nearly $30,000 to Democratic candidates, and Rosie O'Donnell and Susan Sarandon also gave money to those running on a Democratic ticket. Even Jessica Alba got into the campaign finance game with her $600 donation to Tennessee Senate candidate Harold Ford.
Celebs seem to be backing, for the most part, Democratic candidates. So who is the candidate that has received the most help from Hollywood this election year? You guessed it... the esteemed Senator from New York Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Legions of Barbra Streisand fans are on high alert today, after an Internet ticket scam could render scores of ultra-expensive concert tickets useless. Oh, the humanity!!!!
According to Ticketmaster, more than one thousand tickets to Bab's upcoming national concert tour were illegally purchased using stolen credit card information. Now, the company is officially invalidating those tickets, mostly purchased through websites and other unauthorized sellers, leaving many die-hard Streisand fans praying that their stubs are legit.
A list of the Streisand tickets that have been canceled to date is available for reference on Ticketmaster's official website.

Oscar-winner Barbra Streisand was in total "Desperate Housewives" mode as she showed up at the construction site of her new home in Los Angeles Wednesday, sporting a frumpy -- everything.
