She played it cool on stage, but Britney Spears was "pissed" at ABC over a derogatory sketch aimed at her estranged husband, Kevin Federline, during last night's "American Music Awards," a Britney rep tells TMZ.
E!'s Marc Malkin first reported Brit was upset, and now a rep for Brit tells TMZ, "She had no idea" that the skit would immediately precede her appearance. We're told Britney was "incredibly upset" and "inconsolable."
The sketch featured AMA host Jimmy Kimmel sealing a Federline look-a-like in a wooden crate and shipping him out to sea. Kimmel called K-Fed,"the world's first ever no-hit wonder." Less than five minutes later, Kimmel introduced Spears as a surprise presenter.
When contacted, a rep confirms to TMZ the idea for the skit was Kimmel's and he went forward with it because, "I knew they wouldn't mind because I know they both have great senses of humor."

Newly single and icy cool, Britney Spears took to the world famous ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center in New York tonight, in a post-filing-of-papers celebratory skate. With K-Fed in the deep freeze, she has reason to celebrate.
Brit's manager Larry Rudolph helped the blonde pop tart stay upright, while hordes of amazed tourists took pictures and watched the teen idol skate. Once Britney got her balance, she was twirling and putting on quite a show -- just two hours after news of her split was scooped by TMZ.
Just before skating, she did some damage at a local Gap store to pick up an outfit for the rink. She looked fine in her slick black pants, plunging neckline and white hat (the good guys always wear a white hat).
She had been seen earlier leaving her hotel, and dining at Italian bistro Baldoria, protected by dark glasses and a large bodyguard.

Kevin "Cletus" Federline has a new cause. Unlike Angelina who is trying to save the babies of the world or Bono trying to cut down on Aids and poverty rates in Africa, Mr. Spears focuses his humanitarian efforts right here in the good ole' US of A.
Kevin is part of a 'movement' to save the penny from extinction. He's joining forces with Virgin Records chairman Richard Branson and director Matthew Eggers "to reinvigorate the purpose of the penny in face of its possible legislative elimination," according to MSNBC. The three are set to appear in Times Square on Wednesday and be among the first to "to sign the 'Save the Penny' petition to be presented to lawmakers in Washington D.C."
Perhaps Kevin should be joining the good folks over at SaveSeanPreston.org - maybe that'd be a better group to devote some time too? Hats off to Fark.com for uncovering Kevin's underlying motivation for joining the cause: "to ensure he'll still have two things to rub together when Britney dumps his sorry ass."
