David Cook played for millions on "SNL" this Saturday night -- but Chikezie, from the same season of "Idol", could barely fill an auditorium this weekend at El Camino Junior College, his own alma mater.
Still beats singin' in the airport ... right?

Now that he's done with the required "Idol" also-ran's tour, Chikezie ('memba him?) says he's always wanted to work with a small, independent record label ... **cough, cough, B.S., cough**
Kinda ironic coming from a guy who sang no original music on a show where contestants battle to be signed and overproduced by Sony -- one of the biggest labels on the planet.

Alas, we'll never know: Kimberley Locke told us that while she was out in L.A. for an "A.I." show, Chikizzle tried to put the moves on her and asked her out. Just like his bid for "Idol"-dom, he struck out. No T&A for the TSA!

September 11, 2001 isn't just the day the world stopped. It also just happened to be "American Idol" Chikezie's sixteenth birthday.
It's pretty ironic Chikizzle ended up working as an airport screener for TSA.

Long before "Idol" (and Terminal 4 at LAX), Chikezie actually spent 18 years training for the "Idol" stage at Fairview Heights Baptist Church in Inglewood ,Ca. -- which just happens to be Tyra Banks' childhood church.
Chikezie was in a church choir called Praise Team. In this video, shot in October of last year, it's clear that his years there have served him well. The pastor of the church, Carl Hargrove, tells TMZ that Chikezie sounds better in church than he does on "AI". Guess there's nothing quite like the acoustics in God's house.

Chikezie didn't score with Simon last night, but he was a big hit at Terminal 4 at LAX.
We've turned up pictures of Chikizzle when he was working at the Transportation Security Administration at the Los Angeles International Airport, where he was a baggage screener.
Chikizzle was a member of the TSA Choir, which performed at TSA functions (who knew!). Turns out the manager at Terminal 4 was an even bigger star than Chikizzle. The manager played backup keyboard for Santana in the 60's.
Here's what worries us. Chikizzle had an iPizzle in his ear while he screened luggage for bombs, but everyone says he was a great employee.
