Debbie Rowe's lawyer just fired off a letter to the New York Post ... demanding a retraction of its story that Rowe has accepted $4 million to walk away from Michael Jackson's two eldest kids.

The letter -- written by Rowe's lawyer Eric George -- says "Among the several contenders for overzealous and inaccurate sensationalism, the New York Post has now seized top honors."
George says "Ms. Rowe has not accepted -- and will not accept -- any additional financial consideration beyond the spousal support she and Michael Jackson personally agreed to several years ago." This is a very significant statement and we've confirmed it with another Jackson source.

Debbie Rowe's lawyer Eric George says the story that Rowe won't seek custody of the kids she bore for Michael Jackson in return for a cool $4 million is "completely false."
Eric George told CNN that no deal has been reached. Jackson's legal team said last week they were trying to "amicably resolve" the custody issues with Rowe.

Nas has fired back in his bitter divorce case with Kelis claiming he's paid her more than she says and he makes less than she thinks.
For starters, Kelis claims Nas raked in $11 million for his album deal. Nas fired back in legal papers, "I did not receive even half that amount"... claiming it's more like $4 mil. Nas claims his income is declining, and he's only pulling in $147,165 a month.
As for what he spends ... $71,371.96 a month, which includes $10,000 a month in clothing/hair/toiletries/personal effects.
Kelis, who is about to give birth to their child, claims Nas hasn't paid a penny for child or spousal support since he left her. Nas, who says he wants to be "fully involved" in the parenting of their child, claims he's agreed to pay $350 for a stroller, $450 for a baby sling and $1,598 for two cribs.
Nas thinks $5,000 a month is reasonable for child support since the kid will just be a newborn.

We've learned Britney Spears and K-Fed have reached a new agreement on custody -- and now Brit has the kids more than 50% of the time -- at least during her concert tour.
Lawyers for Brit and Kevin Federline have filed docs with the family law Commissioner Scott Gordon, stating they have reached a new temporary custody arrangement. During June, July and August, Britney will have physical custody of Jayden James and Sean Preston more than 50% of the time. The lawyers submitted a calendar outlining who gets the kids on which day.
Contrary to some reports, we know that before the change Britney had the kids 50% of the time.
The 50/50 split will go back into effect once Britney's tour is over.

Naveen Andrews has just left family court with his son, and the baby mama is sitting on the courthouse steps bawling.

The "Lost" star and Elena Eustache, the mother of three-year-old Naveen Joshua, were in L.A. County Superior Court, where a judge changed the custody order after Elena allegedly took the boy out of L.A. County without permission. Naveen also claimed Elena kept the boy from him.
The parents had joint custody, but today, with the help of disso-queen Laura Wasser, the order was modified so Naveen now has sole physical and legal custody pending a full hearing next month.
We're told Elena has alleged Naveen's girlfriend, Barbara Hershey, practices witchcraft and that Naveen and Hershey have poisoned the boy. In response, Wasser asked the judge to order Elena to undergo psychiatric testing.
Elena brought the boy to court. After the ruling, the bailiff took the boy from Elena and gave him to Naveen, who left the courthouse with Hershey.
Under the new order, the boy is allowed to travel to Hawaii where Naveen films "Lost". He can be accompanied either by Naveen or Hershey.
After the hearing, Elena told TMZ, "I can't believe celebrities and their money. They always get what they want."
The pic above shows the boy, Naveen, Laura Wasser and Barbara Hershey leaving court. Elena is in the pic on right.

Lawyers for Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook have come to a tentative settlement, but we're told that whatever they've agreed to could still come unglued when they get to court and show it to the judge.

Yesterday, as we reported, the ex-couple's lawyers were working OT to get a pact done, but couldn't do it during the day. We're told they worked "intensely" to make it happen at a L.I. hotel, and they will be presenting an agreement in court today.
Another source tells TMZ that Cook was "anxious" to get the custody fight over with before two detectives, who were scheduled to testify yesterday then were delayed until today, spilled the beans on what they'd dug up on him.
Story developing ...

Day four of the divorce cage match -- ding ding! Today a forensic psychiatrist testified that Christie Brinkley's jerk-off husband Peter Cook should not have custody of the kids. Brilliant analysis doctor!
Dr. Stephen Herman testified that pervy Peter's nasty habits were "narcissistic" and "self-destructive," but that doesn't mean he's a bad dad. Doc Herman did say, however, that Cook should not have custody of the couple's two kids.
Both are asking for full custody of the children.

TMZ has obtained court documents that show just how much money Debbie Rowe raked in by divorcing Michael Jackson.
TMZ reviewed court transcripts from a hearing last June. Jackson's lawyer, Thomas Hall, told Judge Stephen Lachs, "
Mr. Jackson was under an agreement with Petitioner (Rowe) here, which he was to pay her -- did pay her about four or five million dollars up front, gave her a mansion in Beverly Hills, and then was to pay $900,000 a year for a number of years if she abided by agreement terms."
Jackson stopped paying Rowe her annual stipend after claiming she violated their confidentiality agreement by publicly speaking about him. The dispute is ongoing.
Also in the court file -- a declaration dated January 26, 2004, in which Rowe declares, "I have just been advised by Michael's 'inner circle'
that he is abusing drugs and I was even given the name of the physician that is prescribing all of Michael's medications, which I fear is dangerous not only to Michael but also to the children."
Rowe and Jackson are locked in a bitter custody battle. Yesterday,
TMZ broke the story that the California Court of Appeal ruled Rowe's parental rights were not terminated by an earlier court order and that she can pursue custody of the former couple's two children.

Actor Christian Slater is seeking joint custody of his 4-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son, according to refiled divorce papers.
The documents, filed Friday in Superior Court, also indicate that Slater wants to divide property under terms of a written agreement between himself and estranged wife Ryan Haddon. Those terms were not disclosed.
Slater, 36, first filed papers last February to end his marriage to the television producer, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple married on Valentine's Day in 2000. They separated on Jan. 1, 2004, according to the new papers.
The original papers said they separated on Jan. 5, 2005.
