There are perks to playing John Connor in the "Terminator" franchise besides fame and fortune ... like DUI arrests, trips to rehab and expletive-filled tirades.
The DUI bust of "Sarah Connor Chronicles" star Thomas Dekker is just the latest in a series of bad luck incidents to befall an actor playing John Connor.
After Edward Furlong starred as Connor in "T-2", the young actor was arrested for DUI, went in and out of rehab ... and just last month got a temporary restraining order filed against him by his estranged wife.
And when Christian Bale took the role of JC in "Terminator Salvation," an audio tape surfaced of his on-set F-bomb rant towards a crew member.
"Terminator 3" star Nick Stahl has so far eluded the hex, but he better be careful because the Connor curse ... will be back.
Pauly Shore went absolutely nuclear on the set of his new movie -- unleashing a screaming, f-bomb laced, Christian Bale-esque tantrum that could only be described as ... well, totally unbelievable.
TMZ obtained footage from MovieSet.com of the recent tirade, in which Pauly freaks out on the set of "Brand Dead" when he hears producers talking to each other during a scene he was shooting.
Pauly, who was playing a gay sports commentator at the time, screamed, "Shut the f**k up while we're working ... I'm playing this gay guy all day, wearing this f**king wig on my head ... have you ever been on a set before?"
There's way more yelling, way more cussing, way more freaking out.
But it all seems suspicious -- especially since that "real" footage of Pauly getting punched in the face at a comedy club a few years ago turned out to be an elaborate hoax to publicize a movie.
Here's emaciated actor Christian Bale on the set of his latest film in Boston on Monday (left) -- and the late Jim Varney as his infamous redneck character Ernest P. Worrell from the "Ernest Goes to ..." films (right).
One of them is known for speaking with an annoying accent in movies.
The 35-year-old -- who famously dropped 63 lbs for his role in "The Machinist" and then quickly bulked up for "Batman Begins" -- was spotted in Boston on Monday, once again working the heroin chic gaunt look to play drug addicted boxer Dicky Eklund in his latest film.
Hopefully an apple a day keeps the cinematographer away ... from walking into his scene.
Fighting against Skynet is one thing -- but when it comes to screaming at a DP on set, certain "Terminator" stars don't always have each other's backs.
Michael Biehn, who played John Connor's dad in the original "Terminator," says Christian Bale's "T4" tirade never would have flown with him -- and that Bale's gotta remember he's only playing "f**king John Connor."
Christian Bale went crazy berserk on Peter Griffin -- seriously -- and by some crazy twist of fate, TMZ got our hands on the most friggin' sweet ass unedited clip you've ever heard. WARNING: Video contains explicit language.
The full "Family Guy" episode airs Sunday 9/8c on FOX.
Ben Stein on why he's the ultimate sugar daddy: "Chicks dig us nerdy old guys 'cause we are the safe, loving father that's gonna protect them in difficult economic times." Any takers?!
It turns out Christian Bale's expletive-filled, volcanic explosion on the set of "Terminator Salvation" was a "non-event"... according to a guy who wasn't the brunt of Bale's tirade.
Bruce Franklin -- assistant director and associate producer on the film -- told us "Christian is a method actor and was completely immersed in his scene ... his reaction was from the heat of the moment."
The target of Bale's attack -- a director of photography named Shane Hurlbut -- was not fired from the movie, despite Christian's threat that if Shane screwed up one more time, he should be kicked to the curb.
Franklin said Bale was under a lot of pressure because of his crazy "Dark Knight" promotion schedule, and that the crew -- Hurlbut included -- ended up shooting for another seven hours.
Seems everyone in the world has seen "The Dark Knight" –- everyone except about a billion Chinese folks.
That's because "DK" hasn't been released by Warner Bros. in mainland China, reports the Huffington Post, because of "prerelease conditions" and "cultural sensitivities." There's a scene that takes place in Hong Kong where Batman corrals a gangster, and another involving a famous actor who got caught up in a sex-pic scandal, and those scenes may have worried the studio.
Of course, as HuffPost points out, bootlegs have been available for months in China.
Batman and Mr. Freeze. John Connor and The Terminator. Arnold Schwarzenegger hit Brentwood yesterday to have lunch with Christian Bale -- the guy who keeps taking over the movie franchises he starred in first. No word if Christian ordered his own meal ... or just finished off whatever Arnold had.
