Devout Mormon Congressman Jeff Flake (R - Arizona) is giving TMZ's favorite shirtless lawmaker Aaron Schock (R-Illinois) a run for his six-pack -- starting a new battle of the biceps on Capitol Hill.

The world saw Flake, 46, flex his muscles earlier this month after he embarked on a seven-day vacation on a deserted island in the Pacific -- and shared photos of his solo trip with the Washington Post (below left).

Though Flake told us yesterday in D.C. Schock, 28, would probably beat him in a bench press competition, what we really want to know is ...

Congressman Pete King (R-NY) feels we should be honoring the men and women of the Armed Forces -- and not a "pedophile" and "child molester" like Michael Jackson.

Standing in front of the American Legion in Wantagh, King ripped into America's celebration of the life of Michael Jackson -- instead of the people who serve in the military.
It's safe to say King wasn't one of the 1.6 million people who signed up for memorial tickets.

We asked two Congressmen about the love affair the press has with President Barack Obama -- one told us it "won't last forever, his policies are so bad." The other called him "the greatest, just like Mohammad Ali."

Take a wild guess which quote came from Congressman Steve Cohen (D, TN) and which came from Presidential wannabeen Ron Paul (R, TX).

Sleepy economic advisor Larry Summers may have been able to rest easy during yesterday's meeting with credit card officials -- but according to congressmen Emanuel Cleaver (D, MO) and Charles Rangel (D, NY), it's time to ring the alarm!

Congress is on a two-week recess, a.k.a. "Spring Break" -- but it's safe to say these guys won't be downing tequila at Senor Frog's while they're away.

We got Congressmen Jim Himes (D, CT), Anthony Weiner (D, NY), Jared Polis, (D, CO) and Ed Perlmutter (D, CO) yesterday in DC, and for most of 'em, there were no trips to Cancun in their immediate future. The convos went a little something like this...
Congressman Polis: Some of us go on CODELs, which are trips overseas...
Pap: OK, that sounds fun!!!
Congressman Polis: Well, usually they're war zones...
Pap: Oh, so that's not fun, I take that back.

Congressman Barney Frank just told TMZ he is sending a letter to Northern Trust, demanding that the bank pay the government the equivalent of what it spent last week on lavish parties and concerts in L.A.
Frank, Chairman of the House Committee on Financial Services, is sending the letter on behalf of the Committee.
Frank is also asking Northern Trust to return the $1.6 billion in bailout money to the government. Northern Trust didn't ask for the money when Former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson doled it out. The new law actually allows banks that didn't need the money to return it.
Frank also scoffed at the boondoggle, saying Northern Trust should have spent that money making loans and stimulating the economy. He called the Northern Trust Open an "ego thing" that has nothing to do with good business.
Senator John Kerry also weighed in on TMZ's story, calling Northern Trust's L.A. extravaganza "disgusting and stupid
and pathetic."
UPDATE: Congressman Brad Sherman said, "Wall Street is laughing at us saying, 'we got to keep your money and our lifestyle is unchanged.'"
Senator Sherrod Brown said, "A lot of banks seem to be talking out of both sides of their mouths. When we ask what they are doing with taxpayer funds, they claim it's impossible to track the money because it is fungible. But when it comes to paying for parties, all of a sudden an enormous wall divides the TARP money from everything else. They cannot have it both ways."
See what other congresspeople have to say... after the jump.
