Dr. Conrad Murray is setting the stage for a lawsuit against AEG for the medical services he rendered to Michael Jackson ... according to Dr. Murray's rep.

AEG owes Dr. Murray $300,000, according to Miranda Sevcik, publicist for Dr. Murray's lawyer, Ed Chernoff. Sevcik claims AEG has been "dragging its feet," even though the Dr. has requested payment for 2 months of services.
Sevcik says Dr. Murray has not been paid a penny for his services, in spite of the fact that the doctor claims to have signed a binding deal with AEG before giving up his medical practice.
Sevcik says Dr. Murray will not file a creditor's claim against Jackson's estate. She says, "Dr. Murray needs the money and he's entitled to the money based on the contract he signed with AEG."
AEG could not immediately be reached for comment.

Dr. Conrad Murray was in court today in Las Vegas over child support payments to the mother of his child. Here's how it went down:

UPDATE 2:55 PM ET -- And just like that ... it's over. Dr. Murray has left the building.
UPDATE 2:50 PM ET -- The judge just said the baby mama has a right to waive the back support, so the slate is clean. But the judge added Murray must now make regular monthly payments and the court will check in with him every three months and if he keeps paying on time he won't be jailed. Next court date -- January 4th, and Murray must show.
UPDATE: 2:49 PM ET -- The judge asked Dr. Murray if he paid any of the $13,000 to her. He answered, "No, your honor." First we've heard him speak today.
UPDATE 2:47 PM ET -- The baby mama in question has just waived her right to the $13,000 Dr. Murray owes, provided she gets $1,003 a month in support from now on. This is the agreement the parties struck. Murray also paid $700 in court. The judge is confused -- why would she waive the 13 grand?
UPDATE 2:43 PM ET -- Dr. Murray is in court with his lawyer, but the baby mama is out of town and won't be appearing.

Dr. Conrad Murray is blaming Michael Jackson and the fledgling economy on his inability to pay child support -- but the District Attorney of Clark County, Nevada ain't buying it.
In a response filed today to Dr. Murray's objection, the D.A. shot down Murray's claims -- saying, "Dr. Murray's inadequate child support payment history began before the events of June 25, 2009 [the day Michael Jackson died] and Dr. Murray has shown a pattern of failing to abide by child support orders."
Dr. Murray is due back in court on November 16, and the D.A. wants Murray to make a full disclosure of his finances before then.

Michael Jackson's death was a traumatic event for many people -- and apparently it's also the reason Dr. Conrad Murray can't take care of his kid.

According to documents filed last week -- objecting to the pending arrest warrant against the Dr. for not paying his support -- Dr. Conrad Murray explains, "As a result of the media coverage of Michael Jackson's death, combined with the deleterious effects of the current recession, [Murray] was simply unable to meet his obligations."
In the docs, Murray's lawyer says the doctor has no intention to "evade his obligations." But he says Murray "is temporarily unable to maintain a practice or obtain employment because of the extensive media coverage related to the death of Michael Jackson."
Murray is asking the judge to allow him to make "minimal payments" for now while he looks for a job.
As we first reported, his baby mama Nenita Malibiran (who is the mother of his 10-year-old son) obtained a judgment last month for $13,311.47 for missed child support payments.

Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyer has issues with the D.A. in Las Vegas trying to use an arrest warrant to make him pay back child support.
The doctor's lawyer has filed an objection to the court officer's recommendation that a bench warrant be issued if the doctor doesn't pay the minimum for his back support by October 21.

TMZ obtained a photo of Dr. Conrad Murray's car -- the same one that was towed away from Michael Jackson's house the day MJ died -- speeding down the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles on Saturday.

We've confirmed it's the same car -- and the agency that shot the photo insists it's the good doc behind the wheel.
Dr. Murray's rep tells us Murray was NOT driving.
When you look closely at the pic and compare it to Murray's most recent appearance, there are similarities and differences. What do you think?

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Dr. Conrad Murray's baby mama will testify before the L.A. County Grand Jury tomorrow at 11:00 AM.
Nicole Alvarez, the mother of Dr. Murray's 7th child, has not been cooperative with LAPD detectives. We have already reported that we have heard Dr. Murray was living with Alvarez during the time he was supposedly staying with Jackson. Law enforcement sources tell us they believe Dr. Murray was living with Alvarez but have not been able to confirm it.
If Dr. Murray was regularly around Alvarez during that critical time, she may have information that could be highly relevant to the investigation.
Our sources say there is nothing specific they're after when Alvarez goes before the Grand Jury. As one source put it, it's more of an "exploratory" exercise.

Dr. Arnold Klein has sued Dr. Steven Hoefflin in the Michael Jackson prescription drug saga -- sued him for defamation of character.

According to the suit, Dr. Klein claims Dr. Hoefflin told The Sun in the minutes following Jackson's death, "[Dr. Conrad] Murray definitely called Klein because Klein taught him how to administer Propofol ... Murray would have counted on Klein to be the source of Propofol and guide him on its use."
Klein claims Hoefflin's conduct was "willful, fraudulent, malicious, oppressive and reckless" and was done "with the intent to injure and harm Dr. Klein."
UPDATE: Hoefflin tells TMZ: "They [The Sun] check their facts with an electronic microscope. There is factual evidence that the statements that I made are true. They have in their possession phone records, recordings, documents and other evidence that confirms facts in their stories before they're published."

There's a new drug problem in the U.S. -- Propofol.
We've called a bunch of hospitals and anesthesiologists who tell us ... since Michael Jackson's death a number of patients were worried sick about being put under with Propofol. The docs have had to walk their patients through the procedures they use to ensure safety.
We're told some patients are outright refusing to be put under with the drug that killed M.J.
The medical experts we've spoken with say Propofol is a great drug that is relatively safe when administered properly -- that was clearly not the case with Jackson.

Defaulting on your student loans -- $58,395.69.
Interest on that amount -- $11,623.43.
Possibly killing Michael Jackson -- definitely not priceless.
Dr. Conrad Murray lost a judgment to Sallie Mae back in March for not paying back his student loans. On Friday, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada slapped a tax lien on Murray in an attempt to get their money back.
Sallie Mae does not accept Propofol as a form of payment.

An uncle of the two sisters who worked at Dr. Conrad Murray's medical practice in Houston says the day Michael Jackson died, one of the women got a call from either Dr. Murray or someone who worked for him to go and pick up boxes at Dr. Murray's storage facility ... and she got the call more than 5 hours before Dr. Murray called 911.

Joseph Middleton tells TMZ the morning of June 25, one of his nieces, LaQuisha Middleton, had just arrived at Dr. Murray's medical practice where she worked when she received a call to go to the storage facility. Joseph does not know who called LaQuisha, but based on his conversations with her, he says the call came either from Dr. Murray or someone who works for Dr. Murray. He also says she went with another woman who was not LaQuanda Price, LaQuisha's sister.
The manager of the storage facility tells us two women, whom she believed at the time to be Laquisha and LaQuanda, arrived at 9:22 AM (Houston time) and picked up 3-5 boxes, as well as other items.
Joseph says LaQuanda told him LaQuisha picked up a chair and boxes, although when we interviewed LaQuanda in Houston, she only remembers a box -- she says a box containing dirty needles that LaQuisha inexplicably brought back to the office. In the same interview, LaQuisha only admitted picking up a chair.
Joseph told us LaQuisha got the call at around 9 AM Houston time. That is 7 AM Los Angeles time, more than 5 hours before Dr. Murray called 911.
As we first reported, it took multiple bottles of Propofol to keep Michael Jackson asleep through a single night. Law enforcement sources tell us they believe -- though cannot prove yet -- that Propofol bottles may have been stored at one or more locations under the control of Dr. Murray and FedExed to L.A.
Law enforcement has a suspicion Dr. Murray walked out of the room for a period of time after administering the Propofol, possibly fell asleep, and when he returned Jackson had stopped breathing. Cops think Dr. Murray then may have spent hours "cleaning up" the situation before calling 911.

Famed celebrity attorney Mark Geragos says he turned down a chance to join the legal team of embattled Michael Jackson physician Dr. Conrad Murray -- but the good doctor says he never asked him.
Geragos, who famously repped Jackson during his 2004 child-molestation trial, told E!, "I've been approached ... I represented Michael and I would not want to be in a position where I was deprecating Michael in any way, shape or form."
But Murray sees it differently. His current attorney, Ed Chernoff, released a statement saying, "Although Mr. Geragos would make a fine addition to any legal team, neither Dr. Murray nor anyone associated with him has approached Mr. Geragos for any reason, legal or otherwise. He no doubt meant that as a hypothetical, and was unfortunately misquoted."
He's tellin' the story.

We've learned the Houston office of Dr. Conrad Murray is currently being raided by federal authorities ... and we've learned they are looking specifically for all medical records relating to Michael Jackson.

We're told 8 Drug Enforcement Agency vehicles arrived at his offices about 30 minutes ago. Two LAPD detectives also arrived on scene along with uniformed members of the Houston Police Department and 10 members of the DEA's Tactical Diversion Team. There are another dozen or so DEA agents on hand.
The law enforcement agents, armed with a search warrant, entered the property and began going through the property.
We're told the LAPD asked the DEA for help in serving the warrant on the Armstrong Medical Clinic in Houston. The warrant is sealed.
Dr. Murray was Michael Jackson's personal physician -- he was the man who performed CPR on Jackson before he died.
UPDATE: Last night, Murray's lawyer, Edward Chernoff, issued a statement on his website regarding investigators asking for more medical records:
"The coroner wants to clear up the cause of death; we share that goal. Based on Dr. Murray's minute-by-minute and item-by-item description of Michael Jackson's last days, he should not be a target of criminal charges."
UPDATE: It appears the DEA has left the building.

Dr. Conrad Murray -- the doctor who was at Michael Jackson's home the day he died -- was once under investigation for an alleged botched surgery.
In 2007, Dr. Murray drained fluid from the heart of a 67-year-old Las Vegas patient. The patient died after surgery. According to the coroner's investigation report, his wife was told by one of the docs her husband's heart was punctured during the procedure -- so she complained to the coroner's office.
The investigation report confirms that, during Dr. Murray's surgery, the patient suffered a puncture to the right ventricle of his heart, which was eventually listed as one of four causes of death on the autopsy report.
We spoke to the family, who told us they wanted to file a malpractice suit but it was too expensive -- in part because pursuing that kind of legal action requires testimony from another medical expert, and that costs a lot of money.
Altogether, the suit proved to be too much trouble and the family stayed quiet ... until now.
