Former stripper David Hernandez can now say it --
"Yes I Can!"
We found out the "American Idol" wannabe will be performing in the Grand Ballroom at the Renaissance Washington Hotel for the inauguration kickoff tomorrow.
Jessica Alba is hosting. Maroon 5 will be performing. Samantha Ronson will be the D.J. No word on Lindsay. Tickets go for $250 a head. Attire: "celebratory casual."
BTW, Hernandez will be singing a song called, "Born Again American."

There was a time "American Idol" reject David Hernandez was performing for millions ... now he's settling for a small crowd of drunk people at a Koreatown karaoke bar.
Judging by his melisma-plagued rendition of "I Believe I Can Fly," it's clear he has a future back in stripping.

He's got more custody of his kids with Britney, but that didn't stop K-Fed from going to the Maxim Hot 100 bash last night.
Also out in L.A.: Chris Evans acted a fool, Dave Navarro jaywalked right in front of a cop, Ashley Olsen hid, a whole buncha "Idol" rejects got their last minute of fame, Paris was the quintessential Beverly Hills princess and Jenna Jameson considered herself "normal."
In NY: Kristin Davis recommended an excellent carousel to a couple kids outside Letterman, Denise Richards shot down Sheen sperm rumors and Foxy Brown proved her rap skills were a little rusty.

Taking career advice from the star of "From Justin to Kelly" probably isn't the best idea.
A TMZ spy was at the taping of "Idol Tonight" on the TV Guide Channel, where wannabeen David Hernandez was pumping Justin Guarini for advice during commercial breaks. Justin was overheard telling the former stripper, "The sky's the limit man, just get it while it's hot" and encouraging him to "make decisions for yourself."
If all else fails, "Idol Tonight" could always use a third "AI" reject host.

Calling a Hasidic Jew a "Pilgrim" to his face is a major faux pas, so TMZ asked David Hernandez how the heck he could make such a blunder. Gevalt!
He also said who'd be the next voted off "Idol" -- you won't be happy with the answer.

Now that he's been booted from "Idol," David Hernandez can finally get some freedom -- and get his Mr. Chow on!
Record execs are trying to get a single written for the former stripper and fast, as TMZ first reported, which was news to David when our cameras got him last night.

The publicity gained from being a former male stripper is priceless -- and "Idol" reject David Hernandez is happy to be milking it!
As TMZ first reported, major publishers have already started writing songs specifically for Hernandez, regardless of being booted from the competition.

Simon Cowell thinks David Hernandez's g-string gyrations at Dick's Cabaret could actually help him -- but probably not enough from staying off the chopping block.

David Hernandez isn't just earning his keep at strip clubs and on cruise ships. TMZ has learned that he's also been on the Bar Mitzvah-Wedding-Convention-Pretty-Much-Wherever-There's-a-Buck tour as well.
The "AI" hunk used to sing with a local Phoenix cover group called Tribe 7. Their mantra: "To consistently deliver a high standard of musical entertainment, with a professional work ethic." Does that mean he keeps his clothes on?
We also found out that David used to train at Voices, a vocal coaching studio, and when we talked to his teacher he said Hernandez trained" whenever he could afford it" since he wasn't always financially stable. Looks like that's going to change pretty soon.

There are two people unconcerned with all the "Idol" controversy that Danny Noriega's goth video rants and David Hernandez's stripper past have stirred up -- Danny and David themselves!
Sources close to Danny tell TMZ that Noriega is unfazed by all the media attention his video rants are getting. We're told it's a non-issue for the 18-year-old and he chalks it up to just being young. Yeah, but what's his excuse for this week's purple extensions?!
As far as David is concerned, sources close to the 24-year-old say that you wouldn't know there was any scandal surrounding Hernandez based on his current behavior. We're told David has maintained focus and channels all his energy into his music. Sources say David doesn't appear upset and is very professional. People who have received lap dances from David probably consider him a pro too!

David Hernandez is no newcomer when it comes to the music biz, TMZ has learned -- we're told that he worked with Universal Records before his "Idol" turn, and we've uncovered video of the vocal powerhouse messing around in an NYC sound house just pre-"AI."
Hernandez originally worked with Universal, but the label suddenly dropped him before he was discovered anew by Vocal Chills Management, another NYC-based artist management company -- that's Jacob Madrid, another Vocal Chills artist, he's vamping with. Right now, of course, David might be better known for his smooth chest -- but his smooth vocals should count for something, too.
