The IRS takes no prisoners -- and even though Anna Nicole Smith's been dead for over two and a half years, they're still coming after her estate for a hefty chunk of change.
Records obtained by TMZ show the Internal Revenue Service filed a $125,112.86 federal tax lien against the Vickie Lynn Marshall Estate in Los Angeles County earlier this month.
The tax assessment took place in December 2008 -- Anna died in February 2007.

A week after the two-year anniversary of Anna Nicole Smith's death, Larry Birkhead made his way through LAX security this weekend with his biological daughter Dannielynn in his arms.
Howard K. Stern was nowhere in sight.

The judge in the Anna Nicole Smith baby dispute has ordered Smith to complete all DNA testing no later than Jan. 23.
Larry Birkhead, Smith's ex-boyfriend who claims to be Dannielynn's father, went to court last fall to ask a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge to order both Smith and her baby to undergo DNA testing.
Today Judge Robert Schnider set the Jan. 23 deadline. Under the terms of the order, Smith and Birkhead can each choose the lab of their choice. We're told Birkhead's lawyer, Debra Opri informed the judge that her lab -- based in the U.S. -- would send reps down to the Bahamas directly to Smith's front door. Opri tells TMZ "all she has to do is get out of bed, put on a 
robe and answer the front door."
Smith maintains her lawyer, Howard K. Stern, is the father.

Is Bahama mama Anna Nicole Smith a baby bandit? According to baby daddy-apparent Larry Birkhead, the answer is yes.
In a statement posted on Larrybirkhead.net, he blasts the Trimspa Ma, saying, "I constantly wonder what kind of person would steal a child from another. I thought at first maybe because your brother was taken from your mom was the reason, but then I realized she started planning on keeping you from me all the way back in May."
In the statement, addressed to the infant Dannielynn, Birkhead claims he tried to go to Disneyland to cheer himself up, but the trip backfired. "I couldn't help but thinking, after seeing all of the kids, what it would be like to take you there one day."

Convinced that he is the real father of Anna Nicole's newborn daughter, a desperate Larry Birkhead has created an Internet tribute to the child. The words "Dannielynn, born September 7, 'I Can Only Imagine...' love Daddy" grace the front page of LarryBirkhead.net while the song "I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe plays in background. The popular Christian song, which describes what one would experience upon meeting Jesus in heaven, asks the question "What it will be like when I walk by your side?"
We can only guess that Larry is referring to the fact that Anna Nicole Smith and her daughter are residents of the Bahamas and living with a man claiming to be the child's real father. A source close to Birkhead will only tell TMZ "the lyrics say it all."
Birkhead filed court papers in Los Angeles recently to challenge the paternity of the little girl.
TMZ recently obtained a copy of the official birth certificate for Dannielynn. On the document Howard K. Stern is listed as the father.
