Dave Grohl -- Secret of the Hidden Valley

Foo Fighter Dave Grohl was thrilled TMZ finally "discovered the Valley" -- and good thing we did, because Dave's hilarious and his little "Obama" shouting daughter Violet is beyond adorable.

For the record, "The Valley" is the area located on the "other" side of the Hollywood Hills -- and not in the third circle of hell -- where the producers of "Entourage" have probably led you to believe it's located.

Juliette Lewis Jams With Grohl

Juliette LewisJuliette Lewis isn't just an actress. Like many folks in her profession, her talents reach beyond the silver screen. The star of such classics as "Cape Fear" and "Natural Born Killers" has been moonlighting with her band "Juliette and the Licks."

Unlike some celebs whose street cred stops with their publicist, Juliette has the backing of one of the world's biggest musical artists. Former drummer of the Nirvana and current frontman for Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl has joined the band as the session drummer for the recording of their second album "Four on the Floor."

Grohl had originally only planned to play on a few demos for the band, yet he was enjoying himself so much he stayed on for the entire album.

The album hits the street October 2nd in Europe.

Q&A With Dave Grohl: the Best of Foo

By JAKE COYLE, AP ENTERTAINMENT WRITER

Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters, once described by bassist Nate Mendel as an "accidental" band, now have ten years under their belt, are playing bigger shows than ever and are up for five Grammys for their 2-disc opus, "In Your Honor."

With power chords, rock riffs and a fun-loving attitude that would have been unthinkable to Grohl's prior band -- Nirvana -- the Foo Fighters have become an unlikely torchbearer for arena-sized rock 'n' roll.

On Feb. 8, the band will have a chance to add to its previous-earned four Grammy awards, its nominations including best rock album, best rock song ("Best of You") and best pop collaboration (for the unlikely duet with Norah Jones on "Virginia Moon").

The ambitious "In Your Honor" -- half rock and half acoustic -- could make Grammy night an eventful evening for the band, but Grohl, speaking by phone from Paris, says whether you walk out with a trophy or not, "it's mainly for the fam."

"You get the fam all dressed up, put 'em in the same room as Mariah Carey," the 37-year-old says, "and all of a sudden your career is validated."
