It's as if Dennis Farina never went to LAX with a gun in his briefcase -- because you will never find a trace of legal action against the actor.
Farina's lawyer, Blair Berk, just convinced a judge to allow the actor to withdraw his no contest plea to the reduced charge of entering an airport sanitary area with a weapon. The judge then expunged the charge from Farina's record, which was otherwise unblemished in his 64 years.
Berk told the judge, "not all mistakes should be prosecuted as crimes." Sometimes, a time out is enough.

It's amazing how a little mustache can turn 47-year-old A-list leading man George Clooney (left) into a carbon copy of 64-year-old character actor Dennis Farina (right).
Only one of them is hosting the new season of "Unsolved Mysteries" on Spike TV.
We're just sayin'.

Dennis Farina has put a quick end to his weapons possession case.
TMZ courthouse spies say Farina pleaded no contest this AM to charges that he had a gun in a briefcase he tried taking through a security checkpoint at LAX in May.
Farina pleaded no contest to the charge of entering an airport sanitary area with a weapon. The two other, more serious weapons charges (carrying a loaded firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon) were dismissed.
Farina was not in court, but his uber-effective lawyer Blair Berk was front and center. Dennis will pay $510 in fines, plus penalties. He'll be on informal probation for 24 months. The court agreed to terminate Dennis' probation after 12 months if he's a good boy.
Dennis also can't own, possess or carry a firearm in California during his probation.

The L.A. City Attorney has charged Dennis Farina with three misdemeanors as a result of his arrest last month.
Farina was popped at LAX on May 11 after trying to get through security with a loaded gun .22 caliber, semi-automatic pistol.
If convicted on all three, he could get a maximum of 2.5 years in jail and be fined up to $3,000.
