While vacationing in Italy, the 54-year-old two-time Oscar winner noticed the bride and groom and congratulated them on their big day.
Chances are their wedding night won't be nearly as exciting as an A-list celeb sighting.

Fear not Lakers faithful -- Kobe Bryant and his boys have the perfect motivational tool before game four of the NBA finals: movie night (a shiver runs down the Magic's collective spines).
We're told the Lakers had three options for tonight's team bonding outing -- "The Hangover," "Angels & Demons" and "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3."
We would have recommended "The Hangover" (HYSTERICAL!!!), but coach Phil Jackson chose "Pelham" because the team wanted "to support [their] season ticket holder," Denzel Washington.
A discount on his pricey floor seats might be more appreciated by D Dub.

Denzel was passing out free etiquette lessons last night -- hopefully, other Hollywood stars will sit up and pay attention!
The handsome megastar hit up Mr. Chow -- and not only did he give a homeless man $100, he also stopped to sign autographs for all the fans who crowded him. Not once did Denzel lose his cool despite hundreds of flashes going off in his face.
When you've got swagger like this, drama isn't necessary!
Denzel Washington, ever the gentleman, doesn't mind signing autographs -- as long as it's just one per person.
Such was his output, as TMZ observed, when he gave out his Johnny Hancock after a taping of "Regis and Kelly" in New York. Meanwhile, Vince Vaughn wouldn't give an eager fan his scribble, blaming it on the trailing paps. Kanye West was more obliging outside of the Mercer Hotel, where the orange-tastic chef Mario Batali got stuck behind a constipated cab. Elsewhere around the Big Apple, Kelly Ripa, Whoopi Goldberg, and Josh Hartnett made their rounds.
Finally, TMZ was there as pop princess Samantha Cole celebrated her birthday, rolling up in absolutely blingerrific style in a Bentley that almost -- but not quite -- upstaged the b-day girl, replete with $4 million in diamond trim.

In the world of pro football, they just don't care who your daddy is -- unless his last name is Manning!
Among 11 players cut by the St. Louis Rams last week was running back J.D. Washington -- Denzel's son. But his NFL dreams aren't entirely dead -- J.D. was signed to the team's practice squad just a few days later.
It wouldn't be too big of a tragedy if the whole football thing doesn't work out for the 23-year-old -- he might know a guy who could help him get an acting gig.
