Here's Depeche Mode band member Martin Gore performing in Hollywood on Thursday (left) -- and former Vice President Dick Cheney's daughter Mary Cheney a while back (right).

One of them has three children with ex-wife Suzanne Boisvert.
We're just sayin'.

When the Bungie game studio isn't making gamers salivate with images from their newest Halo game, they're creating hilarity within the beta version of the game.
Early beta testers discovered a hilarious medal while playing the game. When a player gets 10 kills in a row with the shotgun without being killed -- they get the "Cheneymania" medal added to their achievements! The medal is a reference to the February, 2006 incident in which the aim-challenged Vice President accidentally shot a friend in the face while quail hunting. Doh!
Unfortunately, Bungie has already renamed the medal "Open Season," much to the dismay of Halo gamers and bird hunters everywhere.

Vice President Dick Cheney went off on CNN's "Situation Room" host Wolf Blitzer for asking him about ... his lesbian daughter Mary's pregnancy.
On Wednesday's episode, Blitzer congratulated the sneering Veep on the impending birth of his grandchild, while adding that some conservative groups are critical of Mary's pregnancy. Blitzer then read a statement by the anti-gay Christian organizaton, Focus on the Family. "Mary Cheney's pregnancy raises the question of what's best for children. Just because it's possible to conceive a child outside of the relationship of a married mother and father, doesn't mean it's best for the child."
A steaming Dick would not respond to the comment but did seethe, "I'm delighted -- I'm delighted I'm about to have a sixth grandchild, Wolf, and obviously think the world of both of my daughters and all of my grandchildren. And I think, frankly, you're out of line with that question."

By JOCELYN NOVECK, AP NATIONAL WRITER
When Bill Gates appeared at a computer security conference in San Jose, Calif., this week, he greeted his audience with a quip. "I'm really glad to be here," said the Microsoft Corp. chairman. "My other invitation was to go quail hunting with Dick Cheney."
Cheney's accidental shooting of his hunting companion is occupying a prominent and unusual place in the national zeitgeist, provoking hilarity and horror all at once. As the Elmer Fudd references fly, the 78-year-old victim lies in the hospital with a shotgun pellet lodged near his heart. But whether you're amused or horrified, there's no question the incident has provided irresistible fodder for chat - any kind of chat.
There were the undeniable comic implications, which late-night TV hosts grabbed with gusto. Although the story took on a much more serious tone Tuesday when victim Harry Whittington suffered a mild heart attack, that did little to stop the jokes.
