Nick Nolte's Son Popped for DUI

TMZ has learned Nick Nolte's son was arrested for suspicion of DUI and possession of a controlled substance yesterday in Santa Monica.

Law enforcement sources tell us Brawley King Nolte -- who starred as the kidnapped kid in "Ransom" back in the day -- struck another vehicle while making a lane change yesterday afternoon.

When cops arrived, we're told the 23-year-old showed signs of impairment, so cops conducted field sobriety tests and eventually arrested him. Nolte's bail was set at $5,000.

Nick was arrested for DUI back in 2002 -- you may remember his infamous mugshot....

Mel Gibson -- Forgive and Forget

Mel GibsonMel Gibson will ask a judge to expunge the DUI heard round the world.

We've obtained legal papers (on Yom Kippur, funny enough) revealing that Gibson's lawyer, Blair Berk, will go to court in exactly one week and ask the judge to remove the DUI from Gibson's record -- because he has successfully completed all the terms of his 3-year probation.

You may recall Gibson was arrested in Malibu back in July, 2006 and went on an anti-Semitic rant that authorities tried to bury. TMZ broke the story of the tirade after obtaining four inflammatory pages that had been removed from the deputy's report.

NFL Legend Bruce Smith Sacked for DUI

NFL Hall of Famer Bruce Smith was arrested on DUI charges in Virginia Beach this morning after cops say the former defensive superstar was speeding around 1:42 am.

Mel Gibson Gives Divorce Judge the Boot

Mel Gibson divorceUPDATE: 7:16 PM ET We just got the papers Mel's lawyer filed with the court, in which he said Mel believes he "cannot have a fair and impartial trial or hearing before Judge Ongkeko." The case has now been removed to Judge Frederick Shaller, but expect the whole case to be handled by a "private judge" -- and that should happen soon.

Mel Gibson
already has issues with his divorce -- at least his lawyer does.

We've learned ... Bob Kaufman, Mel's attorney, filed legal papers yesterday to boot the judge from the case -- Hon. Rafael Ongkeko. Each side is entitled to ding a judge from hearing the case, but that can only be done in the first 10 days. Your move Laura Wasser.

Here's the reality. The chances that a judge in the L.A. County Courthouse will actually hear Mel's divorce case are slim to none. That's because both Kaufman and Wasser almost always get a "private" judge to hear their high-profile cases, away from the public glare.

Warrant Issued for Angie Everhart -- Over 50 Bucks

Angie EverhartAngie Everhart is now a wanted woman -- and not because she's sorta hot.

Everhart was supposed to appear in court on April 6 to pay a $50 fine in her DUI case, but she was a no-show.

The judge has issued a bench warrant, and Angie's probation has been revoked.

Everhart, 39, represented herself in the case... she clearly has a fool for a client.

This Is the Guy Who Caused the Adenhart Crash

UPDATE: The first mugshot of Andrew Gallo on the left is from an '06 arrest for being drunk in public. We also got our hands on court documents from his DUI, which was also in '06, in which Gallo wrote this haunting sentence:

"I understand that if I continue to drink and drive it may result in death or serious bodily injury to another person."

NIck Adenhart Crash

UPDATE: The middle pic of Gallo is his bloody mugshot from a March '07 arrest for drunk and disorderly conduct.

We've just obtained a photo of Andrew Gallo, who was driving the van that caused the accident that killed Nick Adenhart and two others.

Cops believe Gallo was driving under the influence and on a suspended license because of a prior DUI. He fled the scene and was arrested. Gallo could be booked on murder charges, along with vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run and felony DUI.

Charles Barkley Is Going to Jail

Charles BarkelyHope they've got XXXXL jumpsuits in AZ, 'cause Charles Barkley is officially going to jail.

Barkley just pled guilty to 2 counts of driving under the influence and pleaded "responsible" to running a stop sign for the December 31 incident in Scottsdale.

Barkley was sentenced to 10 days in jail -- but will only do five if he completes an alcohol education program. Barkley was also fined $2,000.

Barkley will begin his sentence on March 21 -- but it's unclear if he will serve time in Arizona's famed Tent City Jail, where they make the inmates wear pink.

As for the gun cops say they found in Barkley's car on the night of the arrest -- no charges were ever filed.

The Snake to Cops: Schlitz Happens

Alabama cops sacked legendary NFL QB Kenny "The Snake" Stabler over the weekend for driving under the influence.

Robertsdale, Ala. PD pulled him over around 1:00 AM Sunday morning for what they said was a routine traffic violation. Kenny's no stranger to this drill -- this is the third time he's been popped for drunk driving. He posted $1,000 bail and was released from jail.

"The Snake" is the only QB from the NFL's ALL-1970's team not to be inducted to the Hall of Fame. This probably doesn't help.

Toyota Keeps Boozers Off the Road

ToyotaThe days of Hollywood celebrities being busted for DUI may be numbered. Japanese car maker Toyota is developing a fail-safe system that will detect if the driver is too drunk to cruise The Strip.

Utilizing a myriad of detection systems, from sweat sensors on the steering wheel to detect the amount of alcohol in the blood, to sensors that detect abnormal steering, to a special camera that tells if the driver's pupils are not focusing--Toyota might be just what the celebrity public relations rep ordered.

Paris HiltonOf course, getting Tinseltown's party girls (and guys) to give up their swanky European cars for a Breathalyzer Toyota might be as tough for them as figuring out the proper entrance ramp for the Glendale Freeway.
