Dog Barks Back -- I'd Kill Myself for Forgiveness!

The Dog has only one excuse for dropping the N-word in a leaked phone message -- "I thought I was cool enough to be able to use" it.

Duane "Dog" Chapman was on "Hannity & Colmes" last night for his first interview since his son sold tapes of an N-word littered rant to the National Enquirer, and tried his best to defend himself against and apologize for the hate-filled tirade.

Chapman will continue his tour of contrition tonight, in an interview with Larry King.

Dog's Other Son -- Dad's Not a Racist!

One kid sold him out, but another of Duane "Dog" Chapman's pups tells TMZ that the bounty hunter is not a racist.

TMZ got an exclusive interview with Dog's oldest son, Christopher -- one of Duane's litter of 11 -- who defends his dad regardless of the hate-filled rant. Dog Chapman came under fire last week after an N-word tirade was leaked to the National Enquirer by another son, Tucker -- who probably has a new first letter for his name.

For more of the interview with Christopher, watch TMZ TV tonight. Check local listings.

Please Let the Dog Out!

A petition has been created online to support Duane "The Dog" Chapman, as a plea to set him free. The petition asks both the U.S. and Mexican governments to drop all warrants and charges against Dog, Leland (his son), and Tim Chapman (no relation).

Dog was arrested September 14
by U.S. Marshals on a request from the Mexican government. The request stems from Dog's 2003 apprehension of Max Factor heir and fugitive from justice Andrew Luster in Mexico. Luster jumped his $1 million bail while on trial for drugging and raping several women in Southern California, attacks Luster also videotaped. Dog chased Luster to Puerta Vallarta where he arrested him and brought him back to the U.S. The only problem-- bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico and Dog and his co-horts were thrown in the slammer. They were eventually released, but the Mexican government has charged Dog and his associates with kidnapping and want him back down south to face those charges.

"It just doesn't make sense," Fass adds, "Powerlock and the entire Powerlock family stands behind our national spokesperson."

Chapman recently filmed an ad for the Powerlock company's new product, Wheel Safe, which keeps wheels, tires and custom rims locked, preventing robbery.
