Dylan McDermott is having major trouble selling his L.A. home and has had to slash over $4 million from the initial asking price.
The former "Practice" star listed the 4 bedroom/3 bath Brentwood home for $11 million in August, but still hasn't had any takers even after chopping 20% off the price to just under $9 million back in January. Now he's marked the 3/4 acre property even further to $6.9 million. No doubt his ex-wife Shiva Rose is eager for her share of the sale too.
In 1999, Dylan originally bought the 4,000 square foot home for $3.9 million from Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas.
The recession is a bitch ... for everyone.

Depending on the way you look at it... if you buy Dylan McDermott's home right now, you'll either be saving $2 mil or losing $9 mil.
McDermott has chopped off almost 20% of the $11 million pricetag his Brentwood (L.A.) pad boasted back in August -- it was listed last week at a smidgen under $9 mil, according to Realtor.com. We're guessing that pesky divorce from wife Shiva Rose may have something to do with it.
Fun Facts: The house -- which is one block from where OJ's infamous Brentwood home used to be -- was sold to Dylan in '99 by Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas ... who bought it in '97 from Michelle Pfeiffer.

That's right ladies, Dylan McDermott will officially be a single man on January 2, 2009. The countdown begins!
Dylan and Shiva Rose McDermott had been married since 1995 and have two daughters together.
The two separated in 2007 -- Dylan filed papers in June of this year.

Courteney Cox Arquette's never had this kind of attention -- oh yeah, it probably helps that she was having dinner with John Mayer and Jen Aniston, who snuck out unnoticed.
Also in L.A.: Lindsay got swarmed, Santino Rice was happy to be noticed, James Denton was confident he'd be back on "Desperate Housewives," Dylan McDermott celebrated being single and Tara Reid was back on the party circuit.
In NY: Posh was her usual silent self and Donatella Versace went out with rail-thin daughter Allegra.

Dylan McDermott, better known as, "oh yeah, that guy," from "The Practice" and a bunch of other canceled shows, has officially pulled the plug on his marriage.
McDermott and actress wife Shiva Rose were married for nearly 12 years before separating in March of 2007. The couple, who cited irreconcilable differences for the split, has two kids together -- Dylan is asking for joint custody.

Dylan McDermott's Porsche was the victim of an unfortunate hit and run -- returning to his car after dinner to find the side mirror dangling from the door!
He was severely bummed, but at least the other driver left a note.

The same guy who was spotted telling Roy Scheider, "I know where you live," was caught hugging Cuba Gooding, Jr. just a few hours earlier. Who doesn't he know?!
"Big Shot" hottie Dylan McDermott had a hankering for Italian last night, TMZ spotted him getting take out at Il Sole. Ne-Yo opted for sushi at Koi and James Blunt spent the night at Les Deux after his sold-out concert at the El Rey.
In New York: Queen Latifah, Usher, Jamie Foxx and The Rock were all caught leaving the Mandrian while fine young thing Channing Tatum chatted up our camera guy -- between filming scenes on "Fighting" with Terrence Howard.

TMZ's cameras and our ubiquitous Josh Levine hit our two favorite clubs in Hollywood -- Area and Hyde -- on Thursday night for another exciting edition of Star Catcher.
The night started out with quite a bang; we eyeballed our favorite heiress (and who hasn't?) sneaking in the back door of Hyde with a mystery guest. Paris and this mystery woman were seen alighting from Miss Hilton's car, but while Paris enjoyed the usual explosion of flashbulbs, Woman X was covered in a black sheet.
This was not an Iraqi refugee in a burqa, but it could have been party girl and Paris antagonist Lindsay Lohan. We couldn't make a positive ID, since we spotted Lindsay in three other places driving her own car and wearing a white beanie. But wait -- could it have been a supposedly-rehabbing Nicole Richie hiding underneath that black shroud, not wanting her handlers to know she's fled the reservation? Hmm ... you watch and decide.
Also out flaunting the fact that their lives are simply more fabulous than everyone else's; record producer Scott Storch, the Simpson sisters (Jessica and Ashlee), "Entourage" eye candy Emmanuelle Chriqui, Dylan McDermott, Mike Einziger from Incubus, Matt Dallas, Hayley Duff, Brody Jenner, and Donald Trump's beautiful daughter Ivanka.
