Food Network's Giada De Laurentiis is used to egg, gorgonzola and pancetta sandwiches or Chicken Milanese with tomato and fennel sauce -- and unfortunately for her, an in-flight dry turkey sandwich just ain't cutting it.

Yesterday at LAX, the "Everyday Italian" host told us she loves plane food ... but the sarcasm in her voice said otherwise.

Food Network star Paula Deen got dirty this morning on "Today" -- using her infamous spunk to get crunk!

Anyone who's ever wanted to see her do some pelvic thrusts -- and haven't we all -- won't be disappointed.

We had one minute with chef Mario Batali before he and his hideous orange Crocs jumped onto a moped and took off -- but that was enough time for him to give us a tasty recipe that even the cooking-challenged could master.

Despite video proof showing that Paula Deen's waistline is too skinny to hold up her old pants (they fell down on live TV), the Food Network queen refused to take our slender compliment -- insisting "I'm the biggest I've ever been!"

How can you not love this woman?

Chef Gordon Ramsay could kick Bobby Flay's ass -- and we don't mean at Iron Chef.

The Food Network star dropped some cooking tips for the recession -- chipotle PB&J! -- before unleashing this bombshell: The "Hells Kitchen" cook could take him in a fight ...

The hard-ass British chef who stars in Food Network's "Dinner: Impossible" is finding that spinning tall tales about one's background is no cakewalk -- and now the network says it's investigating his alleged misrepresentations. Oh, deah.
Robert Irvine has claimed all over the place that he'd helped design Prince Charles and Princess Di's wedding cake, among other things. But after an oddly thorough investigation by the St. Petersburg Times, Irvine admits he didn't really bake it -- or have anything to do with it ... and that's just the icing.
"It's unfortunate if Robert embellished the extent of his culinary experiences," said a Food Network rep. "We are investigating the matter and taking the necessary steps to ensure the accuracy of all representations of Robert on Food Network and foodnetwork.com."
Irvine had no further comment today.

Rachael Ray makes lousy coffee.
She doesn't bake too well either. It's all the measuring. It clashes with her beat-the-clock cooking style. "I can never remember if it's one heaping, or two little or two big, or whatever," she says.
As Food Network viewers know, Rachael Ray is all about speed -- a dash of salt and a splash of E.V.O.O. (extra-virgin olive oil in Rachaelspeak) heaped with liberal dollops of personal anecdotes that have made her one of the most ubiquitous cooks in America.
Even a simple lunch in her Adirondack cabin is served with a hubbub. As her husband, mother and pit bull, Isaboo, sidle by in the surprisingly cramped kitchen, she nukes meat loaf with barbecue sauce in the microwave while nibbling on green beans. All the while, she stands and talks over plans to drive to Montreal for a photo shoot, stopping only a second to savor a forkful of her handiwork.
"Mmmm. That's good!"
