Fred Goldman Wants to Drain Juice from Dealer

Fred Goldman isn't finished with O.J. yet -- well, O.J.'s stuff, to be exact.

Goldman's lawyers are filing an action against Mike Gilbert -- the memorabilia dealer who claims O.J. confessed to killing Ron and Nicole -- asking a judge to force Mike to give Fred everything he has that's Juice-related.

A letter to Gilbert's lawyers says the dealer promised to give Goldman the property during an appearance on the "Dr. Phil Show", but he never did.

Goldman is also filling a temporary restraining order against Gilbert -- a hearing is set for Dec. 12.

Judge to Goldmans: Is It Really OJ's Suit?

OJ Simpson, Fred GoldmanTMZ was in a Los Angeles County courtroom this morning when a judge told the Goldman family that their motion to collect money on the sale of OJ Simpson's suit was denied -- because there's no proof it is the real "not guilty" suit.

A legal war was triggered earlier this week when TMZ broke a story about a sports memorabilia guy trying to peddle a suit that he says OJ Simpson wore when he heard the unbelievable words, "not guilty." David Cook, lawyer for Fred Goldman (father of Ron, who Simpson slaughtered), filed legal papers Monday in Santa Monica asking a judge to grab that suit.

Today, Kim Goldman, Ron's sister, was told by a judge that there is no evidence to prove the authenticity of the suit. But TMZ has learned that Simpson cut himself shaving on the morning of the verdict, which left blood stains on the suit. A simple DNA test would prove its authenticity. Although we know how DNA tests involving Simpson turn out.

OJ Simpson's Suit Suit

TMZ has triggered a legal war by breaking the story that a sports memorabilia guy is trying to peddle the suit that OJ Simpson wore when he heard the improbable words, "not guilty."

David Cook, the lawyer for Fred Goldman (father of the man Simpson slaughtered), filed legal papers Monday in Santa Monica asking a judge to grab that suit.

As TMZ first reported, Bruce Formong, a sports memorabilia dealer, was trying to sell the suit, shirt and tie for $25,000. Alfred Beardsley, another sports memorabilia dealer, has contacted Goldman and said he will be taking possession of the suit. Beardsley told TMZ on Friday he believes he could turn around and sell it for $100,000.

Cook tells TMZ he's "suspicious" that Simpson is behind the suit sale. Cook is asking for an order that the suit be turned over to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department. The Sheriff is responsible for enforcing court judgments. You'll recall Simpson owes the Goldmans in excess of $30 mil.

Cook says if the suit has been sold, he'll ask the judge to force the seller to turn over the loot.

UPDATE: TMZ just got off the phone with Alfred Beardsley. He said he had a conference call this morning with Cook and Kim Goldman. Beardsley says he plans to acquire the suit, and the trio talked about the Goldmans getting a percentage of the sale to help satisfy the outstanding judgment. The court could engineer the ground rules tomorrow.
