George Michael's bad luck behind the wheel continues -- he was arrested in England early Saturday morning (different time zone, people) after being involved in a nasty car accident.
Michael -- who lost his license in 2007 after admitting to driving under the influence of drugs -- smashed his Land Rover into a seven-ton truck at around 1:00 AM in Newbury, Berkshire ... this according to Sky News.
Michael was arrested at the scene, but cops say he was released without being charged with a crime.

After being barred from operating a vehicle for driving while unfit in 2007, former pop star George Michael finally got back in the driver's seat in London on Tuesday.

For the first time in a while, no one had to wake him up before he go goes.

Here's "Slumdog Millionaire" star Anil Kapoor (left) at the DGA Awards this past weekend -- and fallen pop star George Michael (right) a few years back.

One of them needs to phone a friend.
We're just sayin'!

George Michael hasn't learned that public toilets are bad for his career. London police arrested Michael in his home away from home (a bathroom) for being in possession of both class A and C drugs.
British law states that class A drugs can include crack cocaine.
The often troubled pop singer was arrested on Friday in an underground loo in the Hampstead Heath area after cops were tipped off by a suspicious toilet attendant. George was released after being cautioned -- and no further action against the singer will be taken at this time.
In 1998, Michael was arrested in a Beverly Hills bathroom for soliciting sex to an undercover police officer.

George Michael is still popular enough to have fans camped outside his house at all hours of the night. Too bad, for him, they're all middle aged housewives.

What's George Michael got against diminutive fitness guru Richard Simmons?
Yesterday, Georgie whammed Little Richard, his short shorts and his Congressional field trip in DC. But a diss from a guy who was arrested for soliciting a policeman in a public restroom is almost a compliment.

George Michael served up Dr. Phil a big can of whoop ass!

TMZ spies at last night's concert in L.A. tell us George pointed out Phil and his wife Robin sitting in the front of the arena. After the TV doc was flashed on the monitor, the crowd booed. George then called Phil out, saying Robin appeared to be having a blast, but Phil couldn't be more bored. That was followed by another round of boos. People sitting near the TV shrink tell us Phil and Robin bolted right after that.
Looks like Phil can dish it out, but can't take it.

Sure, Common's a talented artist -- but he was unbelievably awkward when two of the happiest gayest songs in history were played at a party he was emceeing.
Someone needs to work on his jitterbug.

Caught walking in between two cars -- and not slumped over the steering wheel of one -- a beefy George Michael left a London recording studio on Thursday.

Hopefully, his popularity with fans will grow as much as his waist.

After being convicted of driving while unfit earlier this year, George Michael -- aka the British male Lindsay -- has started his sentence of 100 hours of community service. Wham!
Proving he's good with his hands, George stayed clear of bathroom duty and helped out in the garden at a London hostel for the homeless on Monday. Too funky!
This isn't the 44-year-old's first stint doing court-ordered volunteer work. In 1998, George served 80 hours of community service after being arrested for "lewd" conduct at a Beverly Hills public toilet.

Just like Bill Nighy's character did in the movie "Love Actually," British artists battle it out every year for the #1 Christmas song in the UK. Come Christmas day, we may find George Michael (who's had trouble this year, not just on the charts) sitting on top. If that happens, it won't be George who landed himself there ... "Crazy Frog" has put out a ringtone version of Wham!'s "Last Christmas." And for those who don't recall, Wham! was George's band before he went solo and started hanging out in public restrooms and had run-ins with the law.

"Last Christmas" was originally released in 1984, hitting #2 on the UK holiday charts just behind Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas," which features both Michael and Andrew Ridgeley -- the other half of Wham. This time, Last Christmas may just make it to the top on the back of the Frog. Last March, Crazy Frog's "Axel F" ringtone famously beat out Coldplay for the top spot on the UK charts. The Wham boys may be happy to see the Frog do it again!
Speaking of Wham!, George includes a few Wham! classics on his new greatest hits compilation, "Twenty Five," which is rising on the UK album charts. George seems to have made up with his buddy Elton John, who had unloaded on him a couple years ago, as their duet on Elton's "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" is included.
Beyond Michael's previous big-sellers like "Faith," the two-disc set includes three new songs, including a duo with Sir Paul McCartney, who has also had a bit of a rough year. The title: "Heal the Pain." Good luck to both on that one!

If Microsoft can't find new financiers to replace Fox and Universal for their big budget version of Halo, gamers can still find joy without their joysticks. But for the New York Mets and this group of celebs, there is, alas, no joy in Mudville.
Wesley Snipes: Here's a reality TV show for you. Handcuff together Snipes and fellow tax evader Richard Hatch, dump them on a deserted island and then watch as they try to evade a big old meanie by the name of Uncle Sam. Call it, "The Defrauding Ones." In the meantime, we're left to ponder the three bits of advice that Snipes' managers should have given him: 1) Don't claim a tax refund that contains more zeros than the box office gross of your movies released the same year; 2) Don't listen to anyone who tells you that South Korea, the birthplace of your second wife, has no extradition treaty with the U.S. (they do); 3) Do listen to anyone who tells you that Namibia, where you are currently shooting the horror flick "Gallowwalker," has no extradition treaty with the U.S. (they don't).

Don't let the sun go down on George Michael, because he just may fall asleep at the wheel!
Earlier this month the popstar was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession after police found him slumped over the steering wheel of his car in London. Michael received a caution for the possession charge and was released on bail on a charge that he was unfit to drive. Michael is due in court in November.
Now TMZ has obtained cell phone footage of that fateful evening. In the video, a police officer and an onlooker can be seen approaching the singer's vehicle. George eventually awakes, rubs his eyes and appears to be in seemingly good spirits.
This is the second time this year George has been found snoozing in his car. In February, police cautioned Michael after finding him slumped over in his BMW and in possession of both cannabis and liquid ecstasy.
Two months later, George fled the scene after hitting three vehicles outside his London home with his Range Rover. No charges were filed in this incident.
If he keeps it up, and the police stop giving him breaks, George will need someone to wake him up before he go goes...to prison!

No matter how many parked cars he allegedly hits, George Michael's fan base continues to show up.
Recently in Paris the openly gay singer gave an energized performance to a giant crowd of adoring fans - some of whom had come from other countries.
As his show opened, Michael was alone on stage with his backing musicians stacked on shelves behind him like unsold groceries. That left a huge empty stage for the notorious cop magnet to prance around, which is exactly what his fans were looking for.

LONDON (AP) -- George Michael was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana after police found him slumped over the steering wheel of his car in London, authorities said Monday.
Michael was arrested after police responded to complaints that a car was blocking an intersection in North London at 3:22 a.m. Sunday. He received a caution for possession of cannabis and was released on bail on a charge of being unfit to drive. He has a November court date.
Just a week earlier, Michael gave his first solo concert in 15 years. The Spain show kicked off his new tour, "25 Live," which is scheduled for 28 European cities this fall.
Michael rose to fame in the 1980s as half of the duo Wham! before starting his solo career. Police had earlier warned Michael for possession of cannabis in February.
In April, he hit three parked cars. He later acknowledged in an interview that he was a "terrible driver" and said he was trying to maneuver out of a parking spot.
