Barry Pearl -- that's Doody from "Grease" to you - says "Oprah's Big Give" is plenty generous ... except when it comes to paying up for movie clips they use on the show.
Here's how it works -- in order to use a clip from "Grease" on TV, it must be licensed first from Paramount and then a fee needs to be negotiated with each of the actors. Pearl says Harpo skipped that crucial part.
He says when he asked for a reasonable fee from O's production peeps for a clip that was on "Big Give," they scoffed -- and called his residuals "found money." Thing is, residuals are much more than "found money" for Barry -- it's his livelihood. So when he saw "Summer Nights" playing on a TV in John Travolta's episode of "Give" -- without his consent -- he asked O's company Harpo for $7,500 for himself and three other Greasers in the clip.
That's when Barry says things got, well, Ken-icky.

The 61-year-old resurfaced at a memorabilia convention in Burbank last weekend, looking beautiful.
After "Grease," Jamie basically dropped out of Hollywood.
Today, Donnelly makes a living as a private acting coach in La Canada, Calif.

The Santa Monica Pier was transformed Tuesday night into a drive-In straight out of the 1950s to celebrate the re-release of the legendary movie "Grease." TMZ cameras rolled as the original cast came out to show their support to all the fans, young and old. Fans in attendance got a special treat when Sha Na Na performed classic hits live like "At the Hop."
So how does Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson look after this many years? Um... it seems as if John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John had other plans and were not able to attend.

NBC today announced a new reality series to air mid-season which will allow viewers to choose the leads in the Broadway production of "Grease." The show will take its title from the musical itself -- "You're the One That We Want."
The new production of "Grease" will open on Broadway in June 2007 and will be directed and choreographed by two-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall. Tickets for "Grease" will go on sale on December 1, 2006.
Jim Jacobs, the co-creator of "Grease," along with Kathleen Marshall and renowned theater producer David Ian, will judge.
