Yo-Yo's Pianist Soft-Pedals Milligate

Yo-Yo MaThe piano virtuoso who played with Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman at their now-much-maligned Inauguration gig wants everyone to step off.

Gabriela Montero says if the all-star quartet had tried to play for real, "It would have been a disaster ... It would absolutely have been a pathetic way to lead a president into his oath." They could've made an announcement, but why would you do that right before such a big moment, she asks?

As for Yo-Yo, here is evidence of how precious his $3.3 mil Montagnana cello is: He has to buy a first-class plane ticket just for the instrument.

Barack -- If At First You Don't Succeed ...

Barack Obama is the president of the United States. Finally.

After flubbing his oath during yesterday's inauguration -- thanks, Chief Justice John Roberts -- Obama retook the oath this afternoon at the White House. White House counsel Greg Craig said Obama took the oath from Roberts again out of an "abundance of caution."

In Barack's defense, people retake the SATs all the time!

"Sully" Gets the Bird in D.C.

According to Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger -- revenge tastes like chicken.

TMZ has learned the most famous pilot on the planet made his first public appearance in D.C. last night, at a low-key dinner with some members of his heroic flight crew and several passengers from Flight 1549. The name of the restaurant -- Hudson... Seriously.

Sully was a rockstar, shaking hands with a steady flow of admirers in the restaurant -- which by the way, is great.

Now the best part: As if to take revenge on the birds that brought down his jet, Sully dined on buttermilk fried chicken.

Chief Justice Screws Up Oath -- Obama Blanks

So the oath didn't go particularly well, and here's why. Chief Justice John Roberts screwed up the second line and it seems that threw Obama off track.

Obama oath: Click to watch
The oath, found in Article II Section I of the Constitution, reads, I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States....

The Chief asked Obama to repeat these words, "...that I will execute the office of President to the United States faithfully...." It's "of" the United States and the word "faithfully" should have come before the word "execute."

After that, Obama blanked. Could this be a conservative conspiracy?

Stay tuned!

Halle Lookin' Berry Berry Hot

Jay-Z Jacks Jeezy's Jam

Everyone hates a stage crasher -- unless the guy who jumps on stage is one of the greatest rappers alive.

During Young Jeezy's performance Sunday night at LOVE Nightclub in D.C., Jay-Z grabbed a mic and rapped a few of Jeezy's verses -- while Akon hovered overhead and let the master go to work.

FUN FACT: Young Jeezy's backstage demands were Skittles, Lays BBQ potato chips and Belvedere vodka.

...and our photog actually had the nerve to ask if he got his Inauguration gig by winning "a drawing."

It's pretty hilarious -- and Yo-Yo Ma is the nicest guy ever.
