Isla Fisher somehow got out of a ticket for double parking in Santa Monica Friday -- but this was no case of celebrity justice.
Fisher double-parked her SUV while she was picking up her young daughter at a restaurant, drawing a swarm of paps around her vehicle. A cop, who happened to drive by, stopped to investigate. He talked to Fisher for a moment and then let her go.
We talked to the cops who told us the deputy didn't give her any special treatment. In fact, he didn't even know who she was!
"Confessions of a Shopaholic" apparently is not popular among the police.

TMZ and a herd of photogs spotted a baby-totin' Isla Fisher yesterday as she left the Mercer Hotel in Soho. A stalker chased Isla while trying to pass off his CD -- and blocked paps from getting a shot -- Isla wasn't havin' any of it. Nearby, Gabriel Byrne walked by Da Silvano -- not giving anything up.
In L.A.: Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri arriving separately at S Bar, then leaving together. Kate Hudson finishing a fish dinner at Nobu in Malibu. Jerry Stiller faced photogs at Chateau Marmont, and Lionel Richie drove his lady in a Beemer.

Note to paps: What's one way to make sure that Isla Fisher doesn't acknowledge you? Do that impression of that character that was so over, like, a year ago.
Sacha Baron Cohen's baby mama emerged from the Waverly Inn, and one pap decided to try to warm her up by doing an execrable impersonation of everyone's least favorite Kazakh character.
The results? Predictable. And yet you won't believe what the same guy did to get his shot. It isn't sexytime.

Isla Fisher made sexytime with her fiance, "Borat" star Sacha Baron Cohen, and looks like she may be pregnant -- with a girl! Wawaweewaa!
TMZ has learned Fisher stopped into West Hollywood baby boutique Petit Tresor on Friday and picked up over $400 worth of items, including two blankets in pink. I like!
The "Wedding Crashers" star also purchased a bunch of onesies with the word "Supermodel" written across the front and a half dozen animal print blankets. We're told Isla thought the zebra, giraffe and cow blankets were adorable and was overheard saying, "I love these, we're taking them on a safari!" Wait, are they having twins?!
Like Borat, Ali G and Bruno, the world awaits to find out what Sacha Baron Cohen's latest creation will be!

TMZ spotted the man of many personalities, Sacha Baron Cohen, leaving the Egyptian Theatre on Tuesday night in a not so "sexy time" atmosphere. Cohen and his future wife, Aussie hottie Isla Fisher, were swarmed by fans and paparazzi as they stopped to sign a autographs before diving into their waiting SUV. "Is nice."
Also seen in L.A.: "Ghostbusters" star Harold Ramis, "Sin City" beauty Devon Aoki, and "The Hills Have Eyes 2" guapo Jacob Vargas got his taste of rejection from dwindling Hollywood hotspot Hyde.
In NYC, TMZ stopped by the "Reign Over Me" after-party where we ran into funnyman Adam Sandler, Don Cheadle, Tim Robbins and comedian Chris Rock.
