Wolverine and James Bond are not to be messed with, especially when they're doing the whole acting thing.

Hugh Jackman
and Daniel Craig were trying to perform their play "A Steady Rain" Wednesday night in NYC -- but some nitwit forgot to turn off his mobile phone. Jackman set the dude straight -- staying in character all the while. Minutes later, the ring tone echoed through the theater again and Craig's response was Tony-worthy.

Neither actor seemed shaken or stirred.

Former 007 Wants Money Galore from Wife

George Lazenby George Lazenby -- who once played James Bond -- is challenging his prenuptial agreement on grounds his wife is so rich he's become a joke to his kids.

Lazenby -- who played Bond in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" -- is asking a judge to void his prenup, then award him $16,133 in spousal support, according to divorce docs filed in L.A. County Superior Court.

The 69-year-old actor claims his estranged wife, 47-year-old former tennis pro Pamela Shriver, is "30 times a millionaire" and he doesn't want to explain to their three kids why mommy's house is so much bigger than daddy's.

It's not like George is broke -- he's got over a mil to his name -- but apparently 1/30th of $30 mil = poor.

Meanwhile, the driver of one of the cars remains hospitalized, in serious condition. Director Marc Forster, star Daniel Craig or any other cast members were at the location when the accident occurred.

Daniel Craig "Battered" as 007

Daniel Craig: Click to watchPlaying a blonde James Bond is no easy mission. Daniel Craig steps into the super-spy shoes of Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan (sorry George Lazenby, you did nothing for the franchise), and he's got the bruises to prove it!

"I lost a cap but that was the least of my worries," says Craig of his on-set accidents. "I had bruises. I was battered everyday. I had a black eye. You always get hit where the padding isn't."

In previous installments, while Halle Berry and Ursula Andress left us agape with barely-there bathing suits, but it's Daniel's hot Bond-bod sporting sexy trunks in "Casino Royale." His secret for looking so damned good in the short shorts? Five days a week in the gym. "There is no secret. Push weights, run around." Somebody does it better.

The Name's Craig. Daniel Craig.

Some fans of the James Bond franchise were upset when blonde Brit Daniel Craig was cast in the lead role in the latest pic "Casino Royale." Many felt he couldn't properly fill 007's shoes.

Daniel Craig
Craig tells the new issue of Parade magazine "All I can say is there are millions of fans, and I don't want to let them down. I've worked my butt off for this movie. I'm not going to foul it up."

The buff actor may be the first non-brunette Bond, but he definitely has one thing in common with the super agent -- the ladies. Although he is currently dating film producer Satsuki Mitchell, in the past he has been linked to hotties like Kate Moss and Sienna Miller.

But one thing you won't see the latest Bond doing is lighting up a cig. While producers didn't want to send a wrong message to kids, Craig had no issue with the change because in reality he says "I can blow off someone's head at close range and splatter blood, but I can't light a good Cuban (cigar)."

Check out the entire interview with the very sexy Daniel Craig in Sunday's Parade magazine.

A Former 007 Comes to the Defense of Daniel Craig

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

It took an old Bond to come to the rescue of the new Bond.

Roger Moore, who played Agent 007 in seven of the James Bond movies, said critics of the film franchise's new star, Daniel Craig, should give him a chance.

"He's a helluva good actor," said Moore, 78, noting that critics haven't even seen Craig in the role yet. "So why attack him?"

The fair-haired Craig, whose recent screen credits include "Munich" and "The Jacket," was tapped last October to play the secret-agent icon in "Casino Royale."

A group of Bond fans have launched a Web site (www.craignotbond.com) to protest the hiring of Craig and boycott the upcoming movie.

The Newest Bond Girl Has Been Chosen

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

The new James Bond now has his Bond Girl.

She's French actress Eva Green. She'll star in the new "Casino Royale" as the character of Vesper.

Green's film debut was a couple of years ago in the ultra-steamy movie "The Dreamers." The director of that N-C-17 film had once said Eva Green is "so beautiful it's indecent."

Now, Green will use that beauty opposite the new James Bond, Daniel Craig.

In other casting news, Jeffrey Wright, who's currently in "Syriana," will play a character named Felix Leiter in the new Bond film.

It was already announced that Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen will be the villain in "Casino Royale," which is expected in theaters on November 17th.
