Sensitive singer James Blunt let Gary Dourdan in on a boat party yesterday that had no shortage of flotation devices.
While Blunt played the role of caboose in a topless train, the rehabbed actor and their hanger-ons ignored the views off of Spain's Formentera Island for the nearby attractions.
Perhaps Dourdan was doing some research for his fantasy show, "CSI: Boat Orgy."

The record producer who discovered James Blunt -- the "You're Beautiful" dude -- says she did all the work to make Blunt's multi-platinum "Back to Bedlam" album a huge success -- and Warner Music screwed her.
In court papers filed in New York, Linda Perry -- ex-singer for 4 Non Blondes, 'memba them? -- says she signed the whiner back in 2003, and did "tireless promotion" for "Back to Bedlam," even though Warner Music was lukewarm on it. Then the album exploded, grossing over $100 mil for Warner.
Perry says that's when things got ugly, claiming the big label reworked its deal with Blunt behind her back, and screwed her out of more than $5 mi.
A Warner rep said that Perry "has always been and will continue to be compensated in accordance with the terms of its contractual arrangement with Atlantic."

Us Weekly threw a bash at Opera last night, hosting hot young actresses like Amanda Bynes, Miley Cyrus, and Nichelle Nichols?! The original "Star Trek" Lieutenant was the talk of the party. As one TMZ insider said, "Uhura stole the show!"
Also at the event was whiney rapper Kanye West, a non-Photoshopped Kathy Griffin, vampire slayer Sarah Michelle Gellar, and leather jacket-obsessed James Blunt. Chicken dancer Bai Ling clucked around, and R&B queen Mary J. Blige looked fierce in all white.
But the evening belonged to 74-year-old Nichelle Nichols -- who boldly stole the show.

James Blunt somehow gets all the ladies -- and last night he was spotted with a new addition to his Hollywood hottie hit list -- Kate Bosworth.
The not-so-"Beautiful" singer and the wispy "Superman Returns" star were caught dining together at Il Sole, joined by another couple. The foursome left together, even though Blunt showed up separately.
James is the one seen hiding his face from cameras in the back seat. Kate is supposedly dating Brit model James Rousseau, who was nowhere in sight.

"Big Shot" hottie Dylan McDermott had a hankering for Italian last night, TMZ spotted him getting take out at Il Sole. Ne-Yo opted for sushi at Koi and James Blunt spent the night at Les Deux after his sold-out concert at the El Rey.
In New York: Queen Latifah, Usher, Jamie Foxx and The Rock were all caught leaving the Mandrian while fine young thing Channing Tatum chatted up our camera guy -- between filming scenes on "Fighting" with Terrence Howard.

The future head chef was without smokin' hot ladylove Jessica Biel, who's been learning how to get all stripperific for her upcoming movie "Powder Blue."
Butter was -- as ever -- Monday night's hotspot as Oscar winner-turned-flopmeister Cuba Gooding Jr. showed up just in time to give a flower peddler the last of his greenbacks from "Jerry Maguire." Also at Butter we found Nick Lachey with his va-va-voyeuriste Vanessa Minnillo, songboy James Blunt and a hat-obscured P. Diddy.

Singer James Blunt won't be charged in an alleged hit-and-run incident back in February, TMZ has learned.
Blunt's attorney, Steven M. Cron, tells us, "Allegations that a member of the paparazzi was the victim of a hit-and-run by James Blunt have been investigated by the LAPD... and the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office has rejected the filing of any charges against Mr. Blunt."
At the time of the incident, several witnesses said that Blunt, who was with model/ex-girlfriend Petra Nemcova, drove an SUV over a man's leg while pulling away from a Hollywood party. The alleged victim was thought to be an autograph seeker, but is actually a member of the paparazzi.
Blunt, who is currently in Los Angeles recording the follow up to his chart-topping debut, Back to Bedlam, has since swapped his SUV for a sweet Hybrid Technologies electric Mini Cooper.

TMZ has learned that the LAPD has opened an investigation into a late night car accident involving singer James Blunt and supermodel Petra Nemcova, and have officially classified it as a "hit and run."
According to several witnesses, James drove their black SUV over the leg of an autograph seeker as the couple slowly pulled away from a Hollywood party Friday night.
According to police, LAPD has not yet "identified" the driver of the vehicle during the accident (?), however, TMZ ran a photo of Blunt in the driver's seat!
A rep for Blunt tells TMZ that, despite reports to the contrary, the person run over "wasn't a fan" and says, "It was a ton of paparazzi that were all swarming [James'] car as he was driving two MPH trying to navigate his way through them... They were invading his space. He was just trying to quietly leave the party." She adds that James is "looking into the matter and will cooperate."

British singer James Blunt and palm-gripping tsunami-survivor supermodel girlfriend Petra Nemcova ran over the leg of an autograph seeker on Friday night in Los Angeles according to witnesses. There's a keepsake from a star encounter!
The oblivious crooner reportedly didn't stop to check on the injured fan. It's unclear if Blunt and Pet had any idea what had happened.
Paramedics were called to the scene and the injured man was rolled away on a gurney, while police made a report. Blunt's rep says, "He was overhelmed by the swarm of paparazzi and was truly not aware of what happened. We're very sorry for what happened, and we're looking into the matter."

TMZ was outside popular lunch spot The Ivy on Saturday when we ran into hip hop mogul Diddy. The multi-tasking businessman asked TMZ "what's crackin'?" and said we were "out as late as he is!"

Supermodel survivor Petra Nemcova and her singer-songwriter beau James Blunt have traipsed blissfully through the capitols of Europe all summer -- London, Prague, and so on -- and have brought their love-explosion to New York as well.
But their romance has always truly heated up at the beach, and a recent excursion back to Ibiza finds the two lovebirds frolicking on a yacht and getting ferried to shore, with Petra looking fetching in a LifeSaver-colored cover-up.
Then, after a short stroll to the car, they find that someone has drawn a heart on the dusty back window of the ride. A touching moment, indeed.
Many times celebrities (as well as politicians!) jump on the bandwagon of a cause without any experience or knowledge of the subject. Not so for James Blunt.
As he gears up for the next leg of his tour, Blunt will be raising funds for Doctors Without Borders, the international medical humanitarian organization. At each venue, a one-on-one after show meet and greet with James is being auctioned at the show's merchandise booth, with all proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). At just ten venues on his spring 2006 U.S. tour, over $35,000 was raised. James' interest in the group comes from first hand observations.
Blunt witnessed the life-saving work of Doctors Without Borders while stationed with the British army in Kosovo, where he served as a reconnaissance officer with the Nato peacekeeping force. One of his songs, "No Bravery," was written in the barracks in Kosovo in response to the genocide he had witnessed during his tour of duty.
Now that is real experience. I see now how he fearlessly wooed Petra Nemcova!

At the Novella Awards last month, James addressed critics who have been saying his song "You're Beautiful" is overplayed. When asked if he himself ever tired of the tune, James retorted: 'I don't have to listen to it, I'm the one who sings it. And it's continued to get me laid." James continued this week to talk about the benefits of stardom: "Sometimes we have people flashing us, and that's great fun. The other trick I've learned is that if you tell an audience, 'Sorry, I was distracted by a girl flashing me,' loads of other people start flashing you too." Nice work if you can get it. Oh, and besides the random flashers, James has been spending time with the gorgeous Petra Nemcova.
Many times over the years we've heard male rock and pop stars, say they love playing music for the female attention their chosen profession attracts. James Blunt is no exception.
