Dawson and Joey may have ended life apart at the end of "Dawson's Creek" -- tear -- but, unlike their smarty pants, extremely angst-ridden fictional counterparts, the real life D & J are still on speaking terms.
TMZ cameras spotted the main "Creek"-er himself, James Van Der Beek, after another dinner at Nobu (on Malibu's Cross Creek Road) with his wife, when talk quickly shifted towards his former co-stars. VDB said he still talks to Katie Holmes from time to time (she speaks?) and even let a huge secret slip -- Katie got married!
Switching from the Creek to "Varsity Blues," aka, "Ah Don't Want Yer Lahf," James played it cool -- while wifey cracked up -- when asked how Ali Larter pulled off that infamous whipped cream bikini. His reply: "Trade secrets brother, trade secrets!"

James Van Der Beek was spotted signing autographs for his one remaining fan last night in Malibu.
Van Der Beek, forever "Dawson," was at Nobu with his actress/wife Heather McComb, showing off his trendy red kabbalah bracelet as he signed a few photos. The former "Creek"-er has been laying low since his days on the WB ended in '03, most recently shooting an American version of the trashy/fantastic BBC show, "Footballers Wive$," which didn't get picked up by a network this year.
His former co-star, Katie Holmes, just returned from a tour of Germany with her first husband and Scientolotot Suri.

Jackie Chan couldn't resist laying a big, fat kiss on Brett Ratner last night.
As the "Rush Hour" star and the film's director posed for paparazzi outside kosher hotspot Prime Grill, Chan gave Ratner a birthday kiss. Brett celebrated his b-day dinner at the restaurant with his grandmother -- the one spotted shopping Melrose Ave. with Paris Hilton -- and the heiress herself, wearing her good bra for the occasion. Hilton's spring fling, Josh Henderson, was seen later in the evening ... leaving Chez Paris.
Also at the restaurant were Joe Francis, "Buffy" star Michelle Trachtenberg and fellow WB alum, James Van Der Beek.
TMZ also spotted Nicollette Sheridan heading to Mr. Chow, where one photographer confused her with that other blonde Chow-hound, Sharon Stone -- and Nicollette didn't sound flattered. Audrina from "The Hills" was caught at Hyde, though unlike fellow MTV reality star Jessica Smith, she opted for a passenger seat after a night of partying.
