Joe Simpson says for a cool $10,000 his daughter Jessica will read YOUR magazine!
Well-placed sources tell TMZ that ever-opportunistic Joe has called at least two weekly celebrity rags to offer them the "opportunity" to feature Jessica reading their mag in a scene in the upcoming film "Blonde Ambition." We're told that he has asked them to write a check for $10,000 for the privilege of placement -- and to make that check payable to Joe Simpson. Our sources say that Joe has "guaranteed" that he will personally see to it that the magazine will be where it's supposed to be when cameras roll. So far, according to sources, no one has taken Simpson up on his offer.
Well, this tale may be returned for insufficient funds. A rep for the Simpsons says that there is "no truth whatsoever" to this story. While the rep confirms that there was product placement staff working on the film, she says there is "absolutely no truth" in any request for payment directly to Joe.

As Ashlee Simpson celebrated her debut in last night's London production of Chicago, her big sis and her father were right there to share the spotlight ... and offer their support, of course.
After Ash's performance, Jessica and Joe met up with the youngest Simpson sister, only to be greeted by a swarm of photogs and fans. Jess and Ashlee ducked into their car while Joe thanked the crowd for showing up. The trio tried to make a clean getaway but once they reached their destination, the flashbulbs began sparking right on cue. There was so much commotion that it was almost impossible for them to walk and see where they were going. It doesn't matter where these girls go, they always seem to make waves.

Joe Simpson is a husband, father, manager and now...paparazzo.
Radaronline.com reports that the former minister turned svengali has developed a very close relationship with the popular photo agency WireImage in exchange for special access to his daughters Jessica and Ashlee.
While celebs granting exclusives to certain photo agencies is nothing new, Simpson has taken it a step further by actually getting behind the lens himself.
Simpson has been accused of photographing his daughters on the red carpet, while simultaneously blocking the shots of other photogs. Joe is said to only approve photos he's taken, which are then distributed via Wire Image.
Obviously, this is ticking off other photographers who claim Joe has tried to bar other agencies from covering Jess and Ashlee's press events.
It seems ironic that Joe would limit media coverage of his daughters, since he is routinely criticized for pimping them out any chance he gets.
And considering the recent round of negative press surrounding the Simpson sisters, they could use any favorable picture they can get. And a publicist!
TMZ contacted a rep for WireImage who had no comment.

Jessica Simpson, through Rob Shuter, issued the following statement to TMZ. "I did not fire Rob Shuter, he is a great publicist and a great friend." Shuter would not say, however, if it was untrue that he had gotten the ax.
As TMZ first reported yesterday, Shuter was apparently fired by the Simpson camp after stories intimating Simpson was involved with singer John Mayer surfaced last week. Simpson later refuted that story on "The View" and Mayer was reportedly upset that his name was used in conjunction with Jessica.
Shuter would not say whether or not he still represents the pop singer and would not comment any further.
