John Legend claims he was done in by the valet last night -- blaming the car parkers for the ticket he got for driving around Hollywood without his headlights on.

We got him right after LAPD ticketed him outside Bardot -- and like a good celebrity, Legend promptly took to his Twitter to clear his good name.
He writes: "Valet sabotaged me! didn't notice becuz the dashboard lites were on and usually I have my headlights on "auto" so they come on w the car. Valet turned them off. Oh well! More money for the California state treasury. I guess they need it."
The state thanks you for your contribution.

The only thing smoother than John Legend's music, is his chest.

The 30-year-old musician went for a shirtless run in Hawaii on Tuesday.
This is why his body of work is so good.

John Legend's major acting career begins and ends with "Soul Men" -- and if he was lookin' to expand his resume, dissing one of the biggest director's around probably wasn't the best way to do it.

John totally blew off "Hellboy" and upcoming "Hobbit" helmer Guillermo del Toro yesterday at JFK.
It's hilarious -- as long as you're not Guillermo.

John Legend is anti-American, or at least he'd have every right to be.
The singer's head spun as he watched the American Airlines baggage carousel go round and round at LAX, as we waited in vain for signs of his luggage.
Legend never lost his cool and eventually he got his old bag.
BTW, the Airline Quality Rating 2008 came out today. American was rated #9 out of 16 in customer complaints. Something special in the air, alright.

Several celebs including John Legend, Ne-Yo and Chris Daughtry showed their support for the fight against autism by signing a special edition BugE Personal EV (electric vehicle). Harvey Coachworks is working in cooperation with Autism Speaks charity to auction off the BugE. Need a ride?
And how about this -- it costs one penny per mile to operate, and recharges in about four hours from any home outlet. Time for a Road trip!

TMZ spotted John Legend in Las Vegas over the weekend -- and let's just say he is a true ladies man.

Legend had everyone's full attention during a performance at Lake Las Vegas, and was even more excited to throw an after-party at Light Nightclub in the Bellagio afterwards. A source at the club tells TMZ, "John Legend and entourage were whisked to his VIP table in the corner of the club and literally hundreds of screaming women were fighting to squeeze into his section."
One onlooker describes it as a "mob," and his security had to fend off fans all night. Our source added, "I have never seen so many women flock to one man."
The soul singer sipped on Hpnotiq and Grey Goose, and partied hard in the club until 2:00 AM.

Once the 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards were over last night, you'd think country rocker John Rich would hit up a cowboy bar and knock back a few beers with pals like Tim McGraw or Brooks & Dunn. Or...

... he could order up bottles of Veuve Clicquot champagne, Grey Goose Vodka and Patron Silver Tequila with pals Lil' Jon and John Legend while chillin' in a VIP booth at the Playboy Club at Palms Casino Resort.
He chose B. Holla!

TMZ had a run-in with the Secret Service last night -- getting pushed away from the door of Pier Sixty for the exit of former President Bill Clinton. Rank does have its privileges.
The Prez got special attention at the Can-Do Awards, but Josh Hartnett, a slightly heavier and hotter Kate Bosworth and her model buddy Helena Christensen didn't get the same treatment -- having to fend off photogs as they left headed to their cars. Rock royalty David Bowie and stunning wife Iman, Julianne Moore, and Beastie Boy Mike D were spotted leaving the event as well.
A hooded Jay-Z fared better than Corinne Bailey Rae at Butter, getting ushered through the doors without waiting in line, while John Legend had no problem getting into Tenjune.
All this in more in today's presidential edition of Star Catcher.

Kim Kardashian hosted the House of Hype and Complex magazine pre-Grammy bash Saturday night at the Roosevelt Hotel with former boyfriend Nick Cannon as the DJ -- but it was Ray J, (Kim's ex and sex tape co-star) who made headlines -- by getting tossed!
Inside sources tell TMZ that Ray J was thrown out of the soiree. Earlier, Kim told TMZ that she was planning to fight the release of the sex tape, so it's clear how the pair might not be getting along. Maybe he brought his camera?
Kim looked beyond hot in an all-white dress -- insert your own virgin joke here. She was joined by the sisters Hilton, Ashlee Simpson, Fall Out Boy frontman Pete Wentz, Brooke Hogan, John Legend and many more.
UPDATE: A rep for Ray J tells TMZ, "The claim that Ray J was thrown out of Kim's party is absolutely, positively untrue." The rep says Ray J was simply "party hopping" and decided it was time to leave.
