According to Jon Favreau, "The world's getting closer thanks to TMZ" -- and he directed "Iron Man" so you should believe what he says.

Apparently the Jon Favreau who writes speeches for President Obama saw this story we did about Jon Favreau the movie director being mistaken for him -- and according to Hollywood Jon Favreau, the other Jon Favreau gave Jon Favreau a call and the two Jon Favreaus had a chat.
TMZ -- bringing the world together one Jon Favreau at a time.

Everybody thinks Jon Favreau is writing all of Barack Obama's speeches -- and they're right.

Turns out there are two famous Jon Favreaus -- one is 42 and writes for Vince Vaughn ... the other is 27 and writes for Barack Obama ... as his official Director of Speechwriting. Dude is even credited with coming up with the "Yes We Can" slogan. Not too shabby...
Not only have the two Jon's met, but yesterday at LAX "Hollywood Favreau" claimed the other one was a "nice kid."
So the real question...

The TMZ team was all over the place this past weekend scoping out all the hotspots to bring you another, much older edition of Star Catcher.
Our weekend started of with a bang as we were on our way to check out Carrie Fisher's 50th birthday party when we ran into "That '70s Show" star Ashton Kutcher. The hunky actor, there without wife Demi Moore, headed to his car but not before he threw up a peace sign to fans and photog seekers.
Once at Carrie's birthday bash, we found a bevy of celebs. Matthew Perry, Robert Downey Jr., "Swingers" star Jon Favreau, veteran actor Kevin Nealon, "Star Wars" director George Lucas, and Sharon Stone who showed up sporting a red bindi on her forehead.
Also out over the weekend Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean, comedian David Spade, "Dancing With the Stars" party girl Cheryl Burke, pro skater Chad Muska, "Lost" star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and a rare appearance by "Goodfellas" gangster Ray Liotta.
