Rail thin Kate Bosworth and a healthier looking Julia Stiles were rocking similar Daisy Duke shirts in NYC yesterday -- with Stiles winning the look by not pairing it with awful jeans and equally wrong sunglasses. Also in New York: still funny "SNL" cast member Amy Poehler and a thumbs-up Kanye West.
Back in L.A., Justin Timberlake's girl, Jessica Biel, hid from cameras, Jack Osbourne kept his Geico caveman look going, Jon Lovitz acted like a statue on Sunset, and a hooded Ja-Rule hit up Area. A fresh-faced Felicity Huffman, "Bones" hottie David Boreanaz, "Heroes" sidekick James Kyson Lee, and Cheryl Hines were all at the Clothes Off Our Back event hosted by a fake jewelry wearing Jane Kaczmarek.
All this and more in today's rodeo-to-Rodeo edition of Star Catcher.

Does Kenny Chesney have hair? He's always got a hat on.
It's true, Janet -- it seems as if Kenny Chesney may have been born with a hat on his head, as he's always wearing one. But we copped a picture of him sans accessory here in Las Vegas last year where it was undoubtedly too hot to be covering up. And to his look, we say rock on, Kenny, rock on!
And speaking of things people (usually) never go without, check out Kenny's ex
Renee Zellweger and her recent lack of luck in the
garment department.Click here... it's not over yet

Showbiz, not unlike politics, makes strange bedfellows, like actress Julia Stiles and rap mogul 50 Cent -- at least if you're talking about the bed of a pimped-out pick-up truck with spinning rims.
At a storytelling salon presented last night by Elle magazine, Cole-Haan, and The Moth, Stiles told the simultaneously bizarre and hilarious story of being asked by Fiddy to appear on an upcoming "Pimp My Ride"-esque show he is producing for SPEED Channel. Prompted by a frantic phone call from her agent while she was on holiday, Stiles says she was asked to call the rapper -- and that she originally had pulse-quickening visions of Fiddy wanting her "to play a renegade white female rapper who lives in Detroit who is heroic...and I could actually rap in the movie!"
As it turns out, when she finally got through (and having navigated the question of how to address 50 Cent -- "Fiddy? Curtis? Boss?"), Fiddy asked her to appear on a TV show -- and offered her a pick-up truck with every blinged-out accoutrement imaginable as an enticement. The conscience-stricken Stiles, however, wanted a different kind of modification -- a hybrid engine, or at least one that used bio-diesel fuel, in her car. And, after getting this particular request, Mr. Cent never called back.
Barneys creative director Simon Doonan brought the house down with a tale involving Oscar winner Shelley Winters, the National Enquirer, and aerobics classes, and "Project Runway's" Tim Gunn described the ordeal of wearing his brother-in-law's suits for a funeral; Mormon comedienne Elna Baker and columnist E. Jean Carroll also shared their own tales of fashion wow and woe.

On top of directing, Julia also wrote "Raving," which was inspired by an article in Elle entitled "The Dress (shirt, boots, jacket, jewels...) that changed my Life."
The film stars Zooey Deschanel as a rebellious young woman who has a chance encounter with a lonely older man.
Julia hopes the film expresses "how the seemingly simple act of getting dressed shapes one's identity."
The 25-year-old Columbia University grad admits she has been imagining this story for a while but "never in a million years thought I'd be directing."
"Raving" is the first in a series of original fashion based content that the mag has developed for TV, VOD, online and mobile phones.
The film will be available for viewing on
Elle.com.

The wave of horror movie remakes continues next week, when the 1976 classic 'The Omen' gets a makeover. The original film tells the story of Damien Thorn, born on June 6 at 6 a.m., who is switched at birth in Rome with the murdered infant of an American diplomat.
Liev Schreiber steps into the role of Robert Thorn, who doesn't tell his wife (played by Julia Stiles) that their biological baby died after child birth. He lets her believe Damien is their own flesh and blood. Little do they know, their child is actually the anti-Christ, destined to create hell on Earth.
Schreiber believes the remake is certaintly warranted and will still resonate with audiences, saying, "I think this film freaked so many people out in 1976 and I think that it will freak as many people out again in 2006, and that is because I think it does tap into something cultural."
Mia Farrow also stars in the film, taking on the role of Damien's creepy nanny and willing servant, Mrs. Baylock. This marks a vast departure from her role in Roman Polanski's demon-seed flick 'Rosemary's Baby,' where she played the unwitting mother of Satan's spawn.
The film, which premiered Wednesday night in New York, opens June 6 (the sixth day of the sixth month in the sixth year, 666, get it?).
