UPDATE: Swift's rep just put together this swift explanation for TMZ, "Taylor took pictures with about 100 people that night ... she doesn't know who this guy is and she didn't realize what was on his shirt."
What the heil was Taylor Swift thinking?
During Katy Perry's birthday party in West Hollywood last weekend, 19-year-old Swift put her arm around a guy wearing a Nazi swastika -- a symbol of hate, murder and evil -- and smiled for a photograph.
There are rumblings that the "JH" on Swift's shirt stands for "Jew Hater" -- but it seems more likely it stands for Julianne Hough due to the fact that Hough had a "TS" painted on her outfit ... most likely for Taylor Swift.

After reportedly sharing a kiss at a VMA afterparty last month, British comedian Russell Brand and Katy Perry were spotted holding hands in London on Friday.

Katy Perry crossed the line when she showed favoritism for "American Idol" favorite Adam Lambert last week -- and unless you DVR'd the live show, you'll never see her pink Glambert cape again.
If you go on iTunes and purchase Katy's performance from last week's "Idol", the closeup of her silk Glambert billboard has been altered -- you can't even tell there's writing on the cape.
The rest of the video is exactly the same -- we put the two different versions side-by-side so you can see.
Fox and iTunes both declined to comment.

Judging by this video of Katy Perry turning a Tony Romo-lookalike cop (aka RomoCop) into Silly Putty in D.C. -- girl is NEVER gonna get a speeding ticket.
The best part: After RomoCop gets all giddy from Katy calling him "cute" -- he turns, notices the camera and is immediately scared back into business mode.
Priceless.
