With all the coyote/football/general drama in her life, there's still one thing that can make Jessica Simpson crack a smile -- her hair.
Jessica's friends are reportedly worried she's at her "lowest point" after her innocent maltipoo was snatched by a vicious coyote -- but yesterday at LAX, Jess and her BFF/stylist Ken Paves were ready and willing to laugh about her locks.
As for that evil coyote -- that bastard is still out there ... lurking ... waiting ...

We don't know what she ordered inside, but whatever Jessica Simpson had at Beso this weekend came with a side of Ken Paves -- as in, someone totally re-did her 'do at the dinner table!
Not everyone loved the mid-meal hair change though -- how else to explain the jackass who randomly pelted her with Q-Tips on the way out?!

UPDATE: TMZ has released a statement from Ken Paves regarding the bloody face he got while walking Jessica Simpson into their waiting ride Saturday night:
"I appreciate everyone who has expressed concern after the incident which occurred outside of Madeo restaurant Saturday evening. While I did not expect a dinner out with friends would end up with me in the emergency room and nine stitches in my head, I am fine. My only real concern on Saturday night, and it remains so in retrospect, was for the safety of my friend and all concerned. I understand everyone has a job to do, including paparazzi. If I were to say anything about Saturday night, it is only to encourage that everyone would respect and care for the safety of others above all else."
Jessica Simpson BFF Ken Paves was left in stitches after his bloody bash-up with a photog's camera Saturday night -- nine of them to be exact.
Sources close to the situation tell us Paves was taken to Cedars-Sinai straight from Madeo, where Jessica and Ken's partner waited 90 minutes for the hair stylist to get nine stitches for a vertical cut on his left eyebrow.

Jessica Simpson watched in shock as her BFF/hair stylist Ken Paves had his face busted open during a crazy paparazzi crush on their way out of Madeo late Saturday night.
Ken was escorting Jess out of the restaurant, when the sea of snappers swarmed -- and in the madness, one guy hit Ken near his eye with a part of a camera.
With blood trickling down his face, Ken still managed to get Jess inside their waiting ride. Their driver then whisked the group to a nearby hospital, where Jess accompanied her friend inside the building.
Calls to their reps have yet to be returned -- and as of right now no police reports have been filed.

DUI Hall of Famer Eve flipped out on her chauffeur last night -- screaming obscenities at him outside Eva Longoria's birthday party.
It looks like she had a good time inside but she was definitely pissed off when she left.

Jessica Simpson changes hairstyles almost as frequently as she does outfits. Recently, Jess and her mane man Ken Paves collaborated to start a hair extensions line called Hairdo. With so many pieces to choose from you never know what coif Simpson is going to pull off next.

Either Jessica Simpson has extensions, or she has the uncanny ability to grow hair faster than anyone else on earth.
On Tuesday afternoon, Jessica headed over to Houston's in LA with her locks chopped. 
She then left Arnie Morton's steakhouse in Beverly Hills a few hours later with flowing golden locks.
The transformation can either be attributed to the high consumption of red meat or the magical fingers of her pal and hairstylist to the stars Ken Paves, who she visited in between meals.

Dad/manager Joe Simpson was out cruising the town when his evening came to a sudden halt ... by a railing!
Joe was about to drive off in his Ferrari in Beverly Hills Saturday night after leaving Ken Paves' salon when he ran into the railing from a staircase. He looked over his shoulder in disbelief and embarrassment. Instead of stopping to look at the damage (like any proud man), he drove away before anyone else noticed.
The valet attendants were probably thanking their lucky stars that they didn't do it!

How do gay men get all the hottest women in Hollywood? Ken Paves' secret -- through their hair.
A trifecta of single hotties - Jessica Simpson, Carmen Electra and Eva Longoria - were out in full force on Friday to support their hair stylist, Ken Paves, as he opened his new salon in Beverly Hills.
Notably absent from the festivities was Ken's other blonde client, Avril Lavigne, who could have been feeling a bit embarrassed after the spit-fest she held last week.
As Paves stood for photos with his lovely-locked ladies, he told photographers, "I think all the men are going to go to hair school now, they're gonna be like, damn, I wanna be a hairdresser, what the hell!"

Jessica Simpson's already proven that fans want to smell (and, um, taste) like her by making her line of "Dessert" beauty products a success. So it was only a matter of time until they took it one step further -- by allowing admirers to replicate her cascades of beautiful blonde hair.
"It's good for an artist to try to change it up," says Jessica of her famous tresses, which fans will soon be able to copy with her new line of hair extensions called HairDo.
The extensions are available in many different styles and are an easy one-clip system that Simpson believes are for everybody. "It's good for an everyday person, whether you're going to school or going to work, to walk in and have people turn their heads, like 'oh my gosh, did she get a haircut, did she not?' I've always loved that shock value."
"Her hair is the most wanted hair around the world," says her stylist and BFF Ken Paves, who worked with Jessica to create the line. "Jessica has single handedly taken the taboo out of hair pieces."
The extensions will be available this fall both online and in salons across the country.

It's hard to spot Jessica Simpson these days without Ken Paves by her side, but be clear, he's not trying to fill the void left by Nick Lachey, he's her stylist.
Paves started out doing hair for strippers just to make ends meet, but eventually worked his way up and was paired with Simpson by her record label eight years ago. The two have taken their relationship an extra step forward lately though, working together to volunteer for Operation Smile, an organization that performs surgery on disfigured children around the world.
They have also are working on their own brand of hair extensions, and plan to team up with a wig manufacturer to provide extensions and wigs to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
