Kim Basinger and daughter Ireland Baldwin arrived at Los Angeles International Airport yesterday afternoon.
Divorce proceedings for Alec Baldwin and Basinger that had been scheduled for yesterday were postponed -- and have yet to be rescheduled. No word on where Kim and Ireland are returning from or whether or not the postponement was due to their travels.
More prolonged drama for mama!

Alec Baldwin was welcomed with applause to a sitdown in a taped segment that aired on "The View" today, with Baldwin giving a heartfelt and somber tale of parental alienation that drove him to the boiling point.
Baldwin said that his "deep and endless frustration" in being unable to communicate with his daughter, Ireland, led him to misdirect his anger to the child, because he "can't address the other person in this dynamic," but stopped short of mentioning Kim Basinger.
The "30 Rock" star went on to address the topic of parental alienation and his frustration with a litigious and complicated custody battle. Baldwin said he was sorry for all those who were offended ... also mentioning how many people he'd heard from who had either been abused by a parent, or frustrated with an ex-wife, and those who were alienated from their children.

Kim Basinger has been dogged by press and paparazzi since TMZ posted her ex-husband's barking voice mail, and perhaps that's why she had to uncollar from a committment to a pooch charity event.
Kim was scheduled to host the 6th Annual "Nuts For Mutts" Dog Show and Pet Fair near Los Angeles this past weekend, but was a no-show. Grr.
The event still had some star support minus Kim -- some good 'ol "Idol" castoffs! Sabrina Sloan and Alaina Alexander were both on hand to provide some leggy love for their four-legged pals. Woof.
Kim's reps were not available for comment.

Kim Basinger's lawyer says Alec Baldwin's response to the shocking message he left on Ireland's voice mail proves the actor is "out of touch" with reality.
After TMZ posted the voice mail, Baldwin's reps released a statement alleging Basinger and her lawyer leaked the material.
Basinger's high-powered celebrity attorney Neal Hersh has just responded, telling TMZ: "There is much I can say and have said in the past regarding Mr. Baldwin's responsibility for the relationship between him and his daughter Ireland." Hersh continues, "I am concerned that Mr. Baldwin's recent statement, wherein he attempts to shift responsibility to Kim and her lawyers for his issues with Ireland, shows just how out of touch he is with the reality and gravity of the situation."

Alec Baldwin plays a man sworn to protect and serve in his new movie "The Departed," but in real life, the actor admits when it comes to sex he often serves without protection.
The actor engaged in some risqué conversation with radio shock jock Howard Stern Wednesday morning and made one fact about his love life very clear -- Alec likes to party with hats off. After Stern turned the corner from a seemingly boring conversation about Alec's vacation interests, the shock jock cold-cocked Baldwin by asking, "What about your use of condoms? Do you use condoms with your girlfriend?" A confident Baldwin played along and replied, "No, never. I don't go for them."
After Alec's confession, Stern went on to praise the rubber prophylactics before revealing a secret about himself. "I love 'em because I don't like real contact. I'm a germ-a-phobe."
The stunning confession came on the same day the never-ending Baldwin custody battle was back in court. The judge deferred ruling on Baldwin's claim that ex-wife Kim Bassinger should be held in contempt of court. Basinger was arraigned earlier this month on a dozen misdemeanor counts of contempt for allegedly disobeying court orders concerning Baldwin's visitation time with their 10-year-old daughter Ireland.

BREAKING NEWS: Kim Basinger has been arraigned on contempt charges. Former Hubby Alec Baldwin triggered the case by alleging that Kim is guilty of a laundry list of violations in their ongoing custody dispute. Among Baldwin's allegations -- that Basinger blocked his visitation rights, blocked his rights to speak with his daughter on the telephone and failed to notify him when the child suffered an injury.
Basinger pled not guilty through her lawyer, Neal Hersh. The actress did not appear for the arraignment.
The former couple has been locked in an epic custody battle over 10-year-old Ireland. Baldwin has alleged Basinger is thwarting his ability to parent. Basinger has said, right back at you, Alec.
Basinger faces 12 counts of contempt. Each count carries a maximum penalty of $1,000.

Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger's contentious war of words continues on full steam ahead.
Since their divorce in 2002, Baldwin and Basinger have been involved in an ongoing custody battle over their daughter Ireland.
In the October issue of GQ, Baldwin unleashes a barrage of insults aimed at one of Basinger's lawyers, Judy Bogen. He calls Bogen a "300-pound homunculus whose face looks like a cross between a bulldog and a clenched fist. She's this hideously angry-looking woman. She'd snarl and hiss."
Basinger retorts, "I am appalled by the statements made by Alec Baldwin in GQ. I am sickened by the fact that somebody can speak this way about another human being. My lawyers, Judy Bogen and Neal Hersh, have done nothing but fight to protect my daughter and me from this vile behavior. After reading this article, everybody will finally see what I've known and experienced for many years."
Basinger's lawyer Neal Hersh tells TMZ, "His recent statements in GQ show that he continues to be out of control. This is precisely what Kim has been fighting against all these years."

Joann's customers were so fond of Kim's look in the film, they have even brought their pearls in to be restyled in that fashion.

Kim Basinger wants a Los Angeles judge to contain Alec Baldwin.
In legal papers filed Wednesday, Basinger's lawyer, Neal Hersh, asks that Baldwin be declared a "Vexatious Litigant." If the judge grants the request, Baldwin would have to seek the court's permission before filing any legal papers in his ongoing custody war with his ex-wife.
In the papers, Hersh argues that Baldwin has filed a flurry of legal papers that contain "fabricated renditions of the events and circumstances that have transpired between the parties for the sole purpose of keeping the respondent's name (Baldwin) in the public limelight...."

Alec Baldwin was prosecuted for allegedly assaulting a photographer in 1998 who ambushed the star and then-wife Kim Basinger as they brought their daughter home from the hospital after her birth. Baldwin was found not guilty.

Citing Felicity Huffman's recent success in 'Transamerica' as an inspiration, Eva Longoria says she wants to be able to do both TV and film. Eva got her chance, via a personal invite from Michael Douglas, in the new thriller, 'The Sentinel.'
Longoria says she enjoyed offsetting the estrogen-dominated 'Desperate Housewives' with the testosterone-filled set of 'The Sentinel.'
The film, also starring Kiefer Sutherland and Kim Basinger, hits theaters April 21.
