"Idol" castoff Kristy Lee Cook is getting too big for her britches -- at least in her own head.
The songstress called her local nail salon in Grants Pass, Ore. yesterday to make an appointment, and get this -- Kristy asked to be ushered in through the back door to avoid the crowds of adoring fans. Only problem, there weren't any!
No one at the salon had even heard of her. Needless to say, Cook walked in unharmed by the swarm of no one and got her nails and feet did. It's hard being famous y'all!

Jim Jones -- rapper, not People's Temple cult leader -- joins 50 Cent in bashing Alicia Keys' alleged remark that gangsta rap was created so black people kill themselves. But for now, he'll also give her the benefit of the doubt.
Also in L.A.: Sly Stallone was buff as ever, Tom Arnold randomly confirmed Ryan Seacrest was dating Sophie Monk, Alessandra Ambrosio looked hot as ever despite being preggers, Janice Dickinson screamed bloody murder and Kim K. went make-up free.
In NY: Neil Patrick Harris dodged the Britney bomb again, Kritsy Lee Cook met fans, Joshua Jackson proposed to his girlfriend and there was a 90s reunion at Butter -- with Matthew Perry, Kathy Najimy and Richard Kind.

A regular in the "AI" bottom three, Kristy Lee Cook is still "special" in Grants Pass, Ore. Rosso's Delicatessen, where the rodeo chick waitressed prior to jumpin' the Greyhound to Hollywood, has made it possible for all the cowboys in town to eat up Kristy Lee!
The bangin' blonde has her own sandwich to tempt the tummys of the locals. With the way the judges are respoding to her performances, she may be back to slingin' these specials soon!

Kristy Lee Cook is a bona fide redneck woman -- belting out Gretchen Wilson's "Here for the Party" at a 2004 life insurance event in some fantastic ass-hugging pants.
Thankfully, she doesn't murder the song, a la "Eight Days a Week."

TMZ spoke with Marty Rendleman, Kristy Lee Cook's former manager, who told us country legend Tanya Tucker called Cook last night to lend her advice! This wasn't a random call -- the two have a past!
Marty tells TMZ when Kristy was 16, she called Marty (then her manager) to get tickets to an Oregon country fair where Tanya was performing. Marty did Kristy one better -- she talked Tanya into letting Kristy sing a couple of songs on stage! Tanya then took Kristy and her family backstage to hang out.
Marty, who's still friends with Tanya, told her about Kristy being on "American Idol" -- so Tanya got Kristy's number and called her last night. Tanya told Kristy that she was pretty, had a great voice and to just go out there and be herself!
The advice is great -- but Tanya might wanna vote next week.

She may look like a sweet and sexy country gal, but Oregon native Kristy Lee Cook knows how to force a man into submission-- between her legs!
TMZ got a hold of some ass-kicking snaps from our friends at The Daily Courier of the barely-alive "AI" golden girl. Her fellow wannabes might want to watch out -- we're told by her martial arts instructor that she's "feisty and cocky in the ring." Hell hath no fury like a kickboxing horse-woman booted off "Idol"!

Surprisingly, "Idol" wannabe Kristy Lee Cook didn't get axed after massacring the Beatles' "Eight Days a Week" -- and her good looks may have a lot to do with it!
Sources tell TMZ most of the contestants (and the world) were convinced Kristy was getting the boot last night. After strip daddy David Hernandez was eliminated, we're told several of the contestants were overheard discussing Kristy's survival and the prevailing theory was that she was saved -- not by her vocal talent -- but because "it's too early to send home the hot chick." Can you say Kellie Pickler and Haley Scarnato?!
Another thing working in Kristy's favor is the loyal country music crowd. In the end, her twang may take her farther than her t**s!

"A.I.'s" Kristy Lee Cook hails from Selma, Oregon -- which boasts a population of less than 3,000. Turns out that a number of the residents can't get "Idol" at home, so they mosey on over to the local Country Folks Restaurant to catch Kristy's performances -- and chow down on $1 hot dogs!
The eatery is pro-Kristy -- where family and friends also attend to root for the hometown girl they watched perform at local fairs when she was younger.
After last night's performance, Kristy better hope the townsfolk have better access to telephones than they do cable television!

"Idol" didn't want us there -- but TMZ has more inside dirt from the kick-off show taping last night.
According to our spy, Kristy Lee Cook's parents had no faith in their daughter beating out Asia'h Epperson and were convinced she was getting the boot. Carly Smithson's mom was at the opposite end of the spectrum, acting cocky about her baby -- who has wowed the judges so far.
