Mariska Hargitay Hospitalized Again

mariska: exclusiveMariska Hargitay was rushed to a hospital in New York last night after suffering chest pains.

This is the third time Hargitay has been hospitalized since December -- the previous two times were for a collapsed lung.

We're told Mariska complained of chest pains while on the set of "Law & Order: SVU," but was taken to the hospital after filming.

Our cameras happened to catch up with Mariska Sunday night and she told us her health was "good."

"Law and Order" Actress Sued -- **Doink Doink**

Ok, what's worse: An ungrateful actress or a talent agency that relies on oral promises? **Doink Doink**.

S. Epatha Merkerson got lots of jobs -- most notably a starring role as Lt. Anita Van Buren in "Law and Order" -- yet won't pay The Gersh Agency 10%. **Doink Doink".

In a lawsuit filed in L.A. Superior Court, the agency claims it had an oral deal -- as in trust me dahling, I'm good for it. **Doink Doink**.

The suit claims Merkerson pulled in $2,229,084 for "Law and Order alone." The agency wants at least $222,908.40.

**Doink Doink!!!!***.

"Law & Order" in '08?

Fred ThompsonIs it possible that the omnipotent courtroom show, "Law & Order," could play a role in the 2008 election? Well, kinda.

Former Senator and current actor Fred Thompson announced his plans to run for the highest office in the land. This creates a thorny problem in that Thompson appears on "Law & Order" re-runs on both cable and broadcast air -- which could cause some election law problems.

The FCC's Equal Time Rule requires stations or cable operators who air appearances of federal candidates to provide equal time to other qualified candidates -- even on shows like "Law & Order." NBC says it won't air any "Law & Order" re-runs with Thompson in them after September 1, though it says none were planned anyway.

TNT, on the other hand, tells Broadcasting & Cable it has no plans to change its schedule -- cable networks themselves don't fall under the rule. Let's hope Chuck Norris doesn't run for office -- mama can't live without her "Walker, Texas Ranger!"

Yeah -- That's the Guy From "The Breakfast Club"

Turns out the "Dead Zone" extends to the paparazzi.

Anthony Michael Hall of "Breakfast Club" fame and Elisabeth Rohm, formerly of "Law and Order," grabbed lunch at the Ivy restaurant in Beverly Hills Wednesday. On their way out, Elisabeth Rohm was more than happy to sign autographs for fans while Anthony Michael Hall was, well, let's just say he was in a hurry. The "Dead Zone" star rushed into his car and seemed annoyed at his companion for keeping him from leaving.

Maybe he had an experiment at home to attend to.
